    HIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL

(English translation at the end of the post)

Hello, community, "navigating" between power outages and internet crashes, it has been difficult for me to be consistent with the Festival. However, this week he managed to participate with the song "La Nave del Olvido" ( "The Ship of Oblivion") that was popularized in Venezuela in the 70s by vocalist Mirtha Pérez. It is a song with simple but very emotional lyrics. The gentleman in the love relationship decides to separate, leave, and the lady tries to convince him to stay. That's the theme. I have always liked this song. By the way, it was the first melody that Mirtha Pérez "hit" and with which she achieved fame in our country. It was the time when songs were sold on acetate records, and the album that Mirtha Pérez released with said song reached such a level of sales that it allowed her, with the profits received, to buy her house, which she named - logically - "The Ship of Oblivion". I remember that at the time this song became fashionable I was about eight or nine years old and there was talk in the musical world at that time about "The Three M's" but this had nothing to do with the commercial firm 3M but with the fact of having at that time three excellent vocalists whose names began with that letter. These were Mirtha Pérez, Mayra Martí and Mirna Ríos. The three beautiful voices, each one from their own particular style and different from the other two. My son @luisfe supported me in making this video as a recording assistant. We are part of a group of friends and relatives who meet - almost always at @hermaryrc's house - to make music. We have taken the name of Musical Group "Venezuelan Power" at the suggestion of @jesuslnrs and @fernanblog.
