Holi - the Festival of Colors

The Festival of Colours is very unique festival in India and this year was having lot of excitements for kids - all most everyone came to celebrate this year because this was the first Holi after Covid. The kids got up pretty early and was very curious to go out to play with colors. I knew this so we got up early and finished our work to be ready to go with them. The very first thing we do is to offer the colors to God at home as part of our daily worship. And she had the tough job to prepare the breakfast and lunch before going because the kids would not wait after coming back. I got some herbal colors as well for us and that was first offered to God.

Even though we decided to step out at 10 am, my daughter did not wait and went at 9.45 breaking the barrier. I took this picture of my son to compare how he looks like after coming back :) It's also dangerous to stay at home because people come searching us and then you can't stop them to put colors inside home, taking the extra pain of cleaning it.

As soon as we went, my son's friend did not spare him. And my daughter was already lost in the crowd - yes, it was a bit difficult to find her. They were all looking almost similar.

After some time the lady joined us - she knew these kids will need water. And she was not spared, quickly she got her share.

After some time my friend came with his daughter. He came wearing a mask saying he is very allergic to color but has brought her daughter to enjoy some time. But who cares - watch the video at to see what happened to him. You cannot take any excuse on this day - no one will listen to you on the ground.

Can you recognize me ? My friend forgot about all the allergy after he was not spared and did all this. And these people could recognize me only from my steps , living in my next door :)

The kids headed to the swimming pool so we had to follow them, but it was no less there as well. The ladies group that came with their kids started the fun there.

Just after the kids celebration got over, the sound of the loud music indicated the last fun of the day - all the people gathered at the park for the rain dance. Thought the kids were almost done, the lady and me were already unrecognizable so did not want to loose the fun. Hope you will enjoy all the dance and how we play the festival of colors. It has been really difficult to accommodate so many clips in 5 GB limit - almost took 4 hours.
