Hive open mic: one of my past ministrations

Warm greetings, Hive Open Mic community and my fellow singers! I'm so glad to join you all again this week to uplift one another through the gift of music. Coming together as a community of creatives is such a blessing.

I'm feeling especially nostalgic and grateful this week as the theme is "memories." Thinking back on my musical journey, one powerful memory that stands out is the first time I deeply impacted others through my music.

It was at a small church several years ago. I'll never forget stepping up to sing a worship song I had written. I was very nervous, but I poured my heart into every lyric, praying it would touch lives in Jesus name.

After I finished, there was a holy hush in the room. Then slowly, people began standing up one by one to testify about how the song spoke to them. Some shared with tears how the words resonated with struggles they were facing. Others said my music touched their spirit and filled them with hope.

I was stunned and humbled to see how my music could profoundly impact others for God's glory. In that moment, I knew this was the purpose I was created for - using my voice to uplift hearts to the Lord. I'll treasure that memory forever.

Now being part of this encouraging musical community on Hive gives me that same joy all over again. Every time we share our gifts here, we never know how it may uplift another soul. I believe God is using Open Mic to remind us all of the power music has to move minds and spirits.

I also want to congratulate my brother @oluwadrey on being this week’s spotlight artist! I’m so proud of you, my friend. You are a gifted singer whose heart for God shines through your music. Thank you for using your talents to bless so many.

As we make more musical memories together, let's keep inspiring each other and cultivating community. Music bonds us across all divides. We each have a unique voice to contribute to this chorus of creativity. I can't wait to see how God moves through Open Mic this season.
