Hive Open Mic 🎤 week 176 ~ Goodness of God || Cover song by Princessbusayo.

Hello, Hive Open Mic Community! Happy Weekend to you all! For this week 176, the theme is titled "Gratitude" and I did a cover of a beautiful song titled Goodness of God from Bethel Music.

You know, the first time I heard this song, I was thrilled and started waiting for the day I would present it here because it is a beautiful song with lovely lyrics that help us to understand the act of gratitude and not being an ingrate, especially when you have seen around you, the things God has helped you to achieve. I am glad to be able to present this today. I enjoyed myself while making this video and you can see that in my smile. This song makes me appreciate God for His faithfulness. Every day, I am always a living testimony of His wonders in my life and I can't stop appreciating Him for always coming through and showing up for me.

Sincerely, my life has been amazing all because I chose to show my gratitude to God and not become an ungrateful soul, knowing fully well that all I have achieved today isn't by my power but by His grace. If only we realize that our existence today is through God's grace.

There was an incident last week when a corp member who was travelling to the east for her camp orientation as a Nigerian Corper was kidnapped. A ransom of 1 million naira was requested from the kidnappers before they could release her. Thank God for the intervention of her colleagues and even the school administration who had to donate more than the ransom to the victim's parents, they were able to pay and the girl was released after two days with them. This is a girl who graduated from my school.

Why did I share this?

Many people have been passing through that route and nothing happened, but she was kidnapped. So many times, we don't realise that it is by God's mercy, we are not consumed. The route others passed and had gone is the same route we pass every day and are safe. There is a song in my tribe that the food others ate that made them die is the same food you and I are eating and we are glowing and staying healthy. Your life, my life is worthy of being grateful to God for because people desire to be like us, they want to be where we are, they want to do things we do, etc. Being grateful is the key to abundant blessings and this is something God is always pleased with, knowing that His creatures are grateful which would prompt Him to do more for us.

I will never stop showing my gratitude to God because I believe that without Him, I am nothing. This song has always been a reminder to me that being grateful leads to peace of mind and unending success. Please, if you haven't been showing your gratitude to God, you should start it now and make it a habit.
