La Voz Cantante || Wk #9- Don't Stop Believin' by Journey- Acapella Cover by/de @Peaq (ENG-ESP)

Hello Pukumundo Family!
I am back again with another amazing acapella rock song. I had so much fun filming this one as it is one of my favourite from the sitcom ‘Glee’. In line with the theme for this week “The Singing Voice”, I will be singing one of my favourite from the metal and rock genre titled “Don’t Stop Believin’” by the amazing rock band “Journey”.

This American rock band was formed in San Francisco in 1973 by former members such as Santana, Steve Miller Band, Frumious Bandersnatch, and Guitarist Neal Schon. However, over time the group lost and gained members in the course of their musical career. The current members include Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Deen Castronovo, Arnel Pineda, and Jason Derlatk.

The song was a hit and a global success. It was written by Jonathan Cain and co-written by other group members. Cain shared that he was inspired to write this song as he had lost his record deal with Warner Bros, his dog had an accident and his bills were flying off the roof.

He said he called home expressing his desire to quit but his father encouraged him to keep going and that his biggest breakthrough is right around the corner. His father said although it seemed bad at the moment, he should not stop believing, that something good is coming. Jonathan wrote the lyrics of this song at that very moment as he was having a conversation with his father.

Just reading the story behind this song uplifted my mood in so many ways. I have been trying out so many things but sometimes it feels like nothing seems to be working out. I feel down and I have to encourage myself to keep going.

In Jonathan’s case, he had such a supportive father to encourage him and in no time, that sad moment birthed the inspiration for this song’s lyrics which brought about a successful timeless song to this day.

Estoy de vuelta con otra increíble canción de rock acapella. Me divertí mucho grabando esta canción, ya que es una de mis favoritas de la serie 'Glee'. De acuerdo con el tema de esta semana "La voz cantante", cantaré una de mis favoritas del género del metal y el rock titulada "Don't Stop Believin'" de la increíble banda de rock "Journey".

Esta banda de rock estadounidense se formó en San Francisco en 1973 con antiguos miembros como Santana, Steve Miller Band, Frumious Bandersnatch y el guitarrista Neal Schon. Sin embargo, con el tiempo el grupo perdió y ganó miembros en el transcurso de su carrera musical. Los miembros actuales son Neal Schon, Jonathan Cain, Deen Castronovo, Arnel Pineda y Jason Derlatk.

En el caso de Jonathan, tuvo un padre tan comprensivo que le animó y, en poco tiempo, ese momento triste dio lugar a la inspiración para la letra de esta canción que dio lugar a una canción atemporal de éxito hasta el día de hoy.

No sé cuál es tu situación, pero estoy aquí para animarte, ¡no dejes de creer! Tu mayor avance está a la vuelta de la esquina. ¡No te rindas! ¡Aférrate al sentimiento! Las cosas mejorarán pronto. ¡Mantén la constancia en tu oficio! Algún día nosotros también compartiremos tu historia de éxito.
