Hoy disfrutaremos de las extraordinarias instalaciones del Museo Aeronáutico Coronel Luis Hernán Paredes, un magnífico lugar para la conservación, restauración preservación y exposición del Patrimonio Aeronáutico Histórico de la Aviación Nacional, el cual fue inaugurado el 10 de diciembre de 1963, diseñado por el magnífico ingeniero Luis Guillermo Salas conocido cómo Mimito salas dónde podrán observar un repertorio de más de 40 aviones de distintas épocas, durante el recorrido quedamos impresionados por tan amplio escenario donde la historia dejo una huella imborrable, además cuenta de bellos jardines y sorprendentes monumentos, dicho museo se encuentra ubicado en el antiguo hangar donde funcionó la escuela de la Aviación Civil Miguel Rodríguez, cuya dirección actual es Base Aragua, Avenida Las delicias cruce con la Avenida 19 de abril, ven junto a nosotros a conocer sobre este apoteósico lugar, el cual fue decretado Monumento Histórico Nacional y de Interés Cultural de la Nación. En dichas instalaciones podemos apreciar aeronaves utilizadas por la Aviación venezolana aproximadamente desde el año 1920–1970. ¡Qué impresionante verdad!

Today we will enjoy the extraordinary facilities of the Aeronautical Museum Colonel Luis Hernan Paredes, a magnificent place for the conservation, restoration, preservation and exhibition of the Historical Aeronautical Heritage of the National Aviation, which was inaugurated on December 10, 1963, designed by the magnificent engineer Luis Guillermo Salas known as Mimito Salas where you can observe a repertoire of more than 40 aircraft from different eras, During the tour we were impressed by such a wide scenario where history left an indelible mark, also has beautiful gardens and amazing monuments, the museum is located in the old hangar where the Civil Aviation School Miguel Rodriguez worked, whose current address is Aragua Base, Avenida Las Delicias intersection with Avenida 19 de Abril, come with us to learn about this magnificent place, which was declared a National Historic Monument and Cultural Interest of the Nation. In these facilities we can appreciate aircrafts used by the Venezuelan Aviation approximately from 1920-1970. What an impressive truth!

En el museo se encuentra un Hangar Histórico donde reposan fascinantes obras de arte que proyectan valentía, audacia y seguridad, que forman parte del origen de este esplendoroso lugar, aunado a memorables aeronaves y automóviles antiguos, considerados como piezas únicas.

Cuenta la historia que el cielo se convirtió en el escenario perfecto para los primeros vuelos de exhibición y maniobras, en ese entonces a los ojos del General Juan Vicente Gómez, por lo que hoy existe una estatua en su honor, en los espacios de este legado histórico, que en la actualidad forma parte del turismo de la Ciudad Jardín donde palpita corazones de guerreros.

Este museo de memoria histórica ofrece una galería de fotografías, cuyo trayecto muestra el pasado y el presente de la aviación con perspectivas hacia el futuro, a través de invaluables piezas que narran la historia de la aviación venezolana, donde resalta Luis Elena Contreras Mattera la primera mujer piloto acrobática civil graduada en tierra venezolana, nació el 2 de diciembre de 1922 en Queniquéra Estado Táchira y fallece el 27 de septiembre del 2006 a los 83 años de edad, fue considerada como la pionera de la Aviación venezolana además fue la primera en sobrevolar en solitario todo el territorio venezolano, su triunfo se debe a su valor y constancia, gracias a sus cualidades obtiene la licencia de piloto civil y acrobática en segundo grado en el año 1943, fue egresada de la escuela de Aviación Civil Mayor Miguel Rodríguez,recibió dos condecoraciones y honores por las fuerzas aéreas venezolanas.

Es pertinente señalar que anteriormente ya se habían graduado dos venezolanas como piloto, pero en el exterior, Ana Branger que se graduó en Francia en 1942 y Marie Calcaño en los Estados Unidos en 1939, quien fue fundadora de Ala Venezolana, considerada como la primera asociación de pilotos civiles venezolanos en el año 1941 y fundadora del aeroclub Caracas.
