Last Sunday I had the opportunity to share with some friends from work and after playing soccer, eating traditional Peruvian food and drinking a few beers, we decided to end the night at the busy Paseo de los Héroes Navales in the city of Lima. It is known that this place is a meeting place for many young people who are dedicated to practice different disciplines, but in this case the dance was the main one of the night.
The night was cold but did not go below an acceptable 18 degrees that even allowed you to wander without a coat, in fact, we can see in the photos that there are people wearing shorts or shorts, but that may be because when dancing the body temperature rises and makes you stay balanced.
I was very struck by the variety of groups gathered and that were dedicated to practice different styles of dances, I could see from traditional music from different regions of Peru, as well as Caribbean music. I was impressed to see that people really love to dance those complicated steps that seem to have dozens of variables.
I also saw people dancing bachata, another genre that I consider super complicated to learn, but this was a learning that the world is a vast place where there are people who like everything and that everything has a place or niche. I must say that what made me most curious were the traditional dances, all very exotic and unknown to me, both the music and the dance steps were incomprehensible, but left me a pleasant impression.
The Paseo de los Héroes Navales in the city of Lima is a spacious, clean and very safe place, you can only breathe good vibes and fraternity, it is certainly a very healthy place where you can spend a pleasant time in the company of family and friends.
In the video you can see in more detail what I have just written, I tried to record a little of each group to share it with you, see you soon!
