Should Christians befriend the ungodly? Should we serve in the Armed Forces of countries under the domain of Edomites?

Yahweh's Law is clear about it! Here are some examples:

Woe to those who go down to Egypt (aliens) for help, who rely on horses, who trust in the multitude of their chariots and in the great strength of their horsemen, but do not look to the Holy One of Israel, or seek help from Yahweh. - Isaiah 31:1

Do not set foot on the path of the wicked or walk in the way of evildoers. Avoid it, do not travel on it. Turn from it and go on your way. - Proverbs 4:14-15

Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of Yahweh, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither, whatever they do prospers. Psalms 1:1-3

Don’t you know that friendship with the world means enmity against God? Therefore, anyone who chooses to be a friend of the world becomes an enemy of God. - James 4:4

Do not make a covenant with them or with their gods. Do not let them live in your land or they will cause you to sin against me. - Exodus 23:32

Treasonous leaders come as a by-product of our sins, one of which is accompanying the ungodly.
