Hola queridos amigos de @hivesucre. Encantado de saludarles! Me complace mucho poder presentarles este material relacionado a música en ésta gran comunidad; que entre sus normas establecidas tiene como propósito invitarnos a resaltar las potencialidades culturales y sociales de nuestro Estado Sucre. Hoy, una vez más quiero que conozcan un poco mas de nuestra cultura musical, a través de un género musical muy interesante llamado: "La Malagueña".

I am very pleased to be able to present this material related to music in this great community; that among its established rules has the purpose of inviting us to highlight the cultural and social potential of our State of Sucre. Today, once again I want you to know a little more of our musical culture, through a very interesting musical genre called: "La Malagueña".

"La Malagueña" es una manifestación artística de la música tradicional de Venezuela. Se escucha y se ejecuta musicalmente en festividades locales de los estados Sucre y Nueva Esparta. En un principio ésta forma musical fue conocida como "halagueña", esto según los apuntes del cultor popular sucrense Juan José Cova. Luego con la entonización del castellano en el oriente venezolano terminó llamándose "malagueña", que daba el nombre a una variación del fandango andaluz, que se acompañaba con coplas irregulares y arrítmicas de Málaga.

"La Malagueña" is an artistic manifestation of traditional Venezuelan music. It is heard and performed in local festivities in the states of Sucre and Nueva Esparta. In the beginning this musical form was known as "halagueña", according to the notes of the popular culture writer Juan José Cova. Later, with the intonation of Spanish in eastern Venezuela, it ended up being called "malagueña", which gave its name to a variation of the Andalusian fandango, which was accompanied by irregular and arrhythmic coplas from Malaga.

Con la conquista española llegaron diferentes variantes musicales que se mezclaron a través de los tiempos; dando origen a géneros musicales hermosos como el Polo, La Malagueña, La Fulia, El Galerón, Jota, Punto y Gaita, entre otros. Todas estas son formas musicales diferentes, pero que en la melodía y sus letras suelen escribirse en versos octosílabos, endecasílabos y duodecasílabos. La Malagueña posee un pulso rítmico inspirado en el va y ven de las olas del mar. Se decía "Halagueña", ya que el fundamento principal de su contenido era halagar. Por tanto los versos de sus estrofas manifiestan halago a las bellezas naturales, el mar, la luna, las estrellas; también halago a sentimientos intensos como el amor y la fe.

With the Spanish conquest came different musical variants that were mixed through the times; giving rise to beautiful musical genres such as the Polo, La Malagueña, La Fulia, El Galerón, Jota, Punto and Gaita, among others. All these are different musical forms, but in melody and lyrics are usually written in octosyllabic, hendecasyllabic and duodecasyllabic verses. The Malagueña has a rhythmic pulse inspired by the coming and going of the waves of the sea. It was called "Halagueña", since the main basis of its content was to flatter. Therefore, the verses of its stanzas show flattery to the natural beauties, the sea, the moon, the stars; also flattery to intense feelings such as love and faith.
