Hive Open Mic Week 112 Greetings to this great family, I love this week's theme "Local Tradition" A proposal from our great friend @nellynohemi, I couldn't wait any longer, and I bring you this little potpourri that is part of our roots, of our Venezuelan culture, I selected some songs that I love that bring back memories of my childhood, my mother sang these songs with a lot of love and passion, I want to highlight the musical rhythm of the Merengue or meringue rucaneao or pegadito that I understand emerged in the 1920s in our Capital of Caracas in Venezuela where it became popular.

For the potpourri I chose several Merengues: Juana and José by the Sevillian master Jesús, the theme of Carmen who was 16 years old and lend me your machine by Balbino García, and the priest San Juan de Dios, the truth is that I listened to Master Billo, but I don't know exactly if it's a poem or a song. I appreciate if you know, let me know.

I take the opportunity to introduce my Cuatro to this community, he is very special even though I don't dedicate as much to him as I do to the guitar, however, I promised him I would take him more into account and he asked me: When will you make me official in open mic? So with all my love today he is the protagonist, I hope you enjoy it and dance for a while.

Thank you all for the love, and the time you take to listen to me.

    The photos are my own.
