Best regards friends! We are in the musical and production preparations for our next concert. Today the main genre is tango, which together with my Ávila ensemble we will perform "Adiós Nonino" by the Argentine Astor Piazzolla, which is undoubtedly a magnificent musical and artistic work.

Cuando escuché hablar por primera vez sobre este tema, supuse en mi interior que trataba de alguien que falleció, y si, efectivamente Astor Piazzolla realizó esta obra en homenaje a su padre Vicente Piazzolla, apodado Nonino, que falleció justo en medio de una gira por Centroamérica en 1959.

When I heard about this topic for the first time, I assumed in my interior that it was about someone who died, and yes, indeed Astor Piazzolla did this work in tribute to his father Vicente Piazzolla, nicknamed Nonino, who died right in the middle of a tour of Central America in 1959.

It was at the worst moment of his life since, even though he was on tour, he had great financial problems and innumerable musical criticisms by which he was involved, and then he received this fatal news from his father, which later led to depression.
