I am looking for and rehearsing several songs to share with you. I searched and sang several genres, such as salsa, cumbia, llanera music, among others. When I got to the middle of the song, I had to move on to another one because some songs require more rehearsal, and others are too high for my voice timbre.
I found among the songs recorded by Pedro Infante, Me Canse de Rogarte. And it is the one I share with you today.
The song talks about a man who begs a woman to love him. The reflection I get, listening to the lyrics, is that if you are not loved in a place, there will be another love, that if you value it, and love you like no one else. But in the end, the lack of love is what the author of the song wanted to express, the good thing is that the time came and he got tired of begging for love.
I share Pedro Infante's version.
Another great of the song who recorded it was Vicente Fernandez, I share his version as well.
Me hicieron llorar
Me cansé de rogarle
Con el llanto en los ojos
Alcé mi copa y brindé por ella
No podía despreciarme
Era el último brindis
De un bohemio con una reina
Los mariachis callaron
De mi mano, sin fuerza
Cayó mi copa, sin darme cuenta
Ella quiso quedarse
Cuando vio mi tristeza
Pero ya estaba escrito que aquella noche
Perdiera su amor
I share the lyrics of the song taken from
I got tired of begging him
I got tired of telling her
That without her, I die of grief
She would no longer listen to me
If her lips opened
It was to tell me: I don't love you anymore
I felt that my life
Was lost in an abyss
Deep and black, like my fate
I wanted to find oblivion
Jalisco style
But those mariachis and that tequila
Made me cry
I got tired of begging
With tears in my eyes
I raised my glass and toasted her
I couldn't despise myself
It was the last toast
Of a bohemian with a queen
The mariachis fell silent
From my hand, without strength
My glass fell, without realizing it
She wanted to stay
When she saw my sadness
But it was already written that night
I would lose her love
