Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos der Hive, estoy mi feliz de estar con ustedes una vez más en la gran tarima de Hive open mic. El tema de esta semana es “In Love with Nature and Mother Earth” y me parece una oportunidad maravillosa para que todos unamos nuestras voces, instrumentos y corazones para darle un regalo musical a nuestro planeta, nuestro hogar. Y para esta ocasión les he traído un tema muy especial para mí, se trata de Xquenda una canción indígena anónima, en lengua náhuatl.

A pesar de que parece ser una canción de amor, según su traducción, para mí siempre ha tenido una conexión especial con la madre tierra, por su energía y sentimiento tan profundo. Creo que es una canción de amor a la diosa madre, a la madre tierra. Esta canción ha sido interpretada por varios artistas, mi favorita es la de Lila Downs, en esta voz conocí esta hermosa canción. La traducción es muy conocida, pero la adaptación para cantarla la realizase hace varios años con el grupo con el que cantaba en ese entonces, así que siempre la sentido muy mía.

Love greetings to all my friends at Hive, I am so happy to be with you once again on the big Hive open mic stage. This week's theme is "In Love with Nature and Mother Earth" and I find it a wonderful opportunity for all of us to join our voices, instruments and hearts to give a musical gift to our planet, our home. And for this occasion I have brought you a very special song for me, it is Xquenda, an anonymous indigenous song in the Nahuatl language.

Although it seems to be a love song, according to its translation, for me it has always had a special connection with mother earth, because of its energy and deep feeling. I think it is a love song to the mother goddess, to mother earth. This song has been interpreted by several artists, my favorite is Lila Downs, in this voice I met this beautiful song. The translation is very well known, but the adaptation to sing it was done several years ago with the group I was singing with at that time, so I always felt it very much mine.
