no quiero recordarte ahora
coro

Pukumundo The Singing Voice WEEK #56 / I am not a lady (Spanish/English)
A loving greeting to all my friends of Hive, today I will rock again with you in the incredible community of pukumundo. This time I bring a very nice song, which sounded a lot in our country in the 80's, it is "No soy una señora" by Melissa Griffiths. This song was originally composed by the Italian singer-songwriter and instrumentalist Ivano Fossati and performed by Loredana Bertè in 1982.
Melissa was a very acclaimed artist in Venezuela, she was characterized by singing genres such as pop, rock, jazz among others. Her stage work was great and as a tough woman with a strong voice, very controversial for the time, so much so that she came to be recognized as "The Venezuelan Madonna".
This song is very special, it tells the story of a woman who breaks away from the ideal of the perfect woman. To connect with her sexual pleasure, her freedom and her individuality, after a love dissection with a man. It has very good lines and a very catchy rhythm. It has been passed from generation to generation and I think there is no one in Venezuela who does not know this song interpreted by Melissa since 1984.
This time, behind the camera, I was accompanied on guitar by my dear @aly.squid. I hope you like it, I sang it with a lot of love and enthusiasm.
Lyrics
A man's wound is nothing new
people will judge by crossing opinions
starts another day a couple of miles away
no horizon no one to care
Leaving my dreams in the room of any motel
with my face covered, with my life turned upside down
you marked my life leaving me forgotten here
absurd sacrifice and how to remember you now
chorus
I'm not a lady of blameless conduct in life
I am not a lady fighting and losing
a war that becomes infinite oh no, oh no...
I believed in your feelings and lived only for you
you preferred to follow the wind without thinking of me
what sadness I felt, you used me like a dummy
it was a horrible adventure, an absurd story
I stopped being yours
I belonged to another as I belonged to you
And I forgot how to love you
I don't want to remember you now
chorus
I'm not a lady of blameless conduct in life
I'm not a lady fighting and losing
a war that goes on forever oh no, oh no.
