My Entry in Praise and Worship Music Week 30. Live Performance of a Melodious Song

Asslamoalekum and hello to my Sound Music Community. This is my first post on this community. My username is @javedkhan1989 and I have been here on Hive since February 2023. I am a true lover of music and this community would help me to explore my musical talent.

I am not a professional singer but I believe that God gave me the talent of singing. So today I am sharing one of my favourite Urdu ghazals with my Sound Music Community.

The lyrics of the song are soul-touching :

Khud faraibi see
Khud freebie hey
paas key dhol bhi ab sohaney lagey

Aik pal main wahan se ham uthey

I am from Pakistan and our national language is Urdu. So I sang this ghazal in my national language Urdu. The lyrics of the song were first written in Urdu and then translated into English.

Whenever I get bored and I feel lonely I amuse myself with this wonderful Urdu poetry.

This is an old ghazal first sung by the famous Pakistani lady Singer Iqbal Bano. Her melodious and soul-touching was something very special. She was a great artist of her time. I cannot compare myself with her but still, I tried my best to sing this ghazal in a better way. Live performance is always more difficult than recorded performance.

I like to sing sad songs instead of joyful songs. I do not know why, but I am fond of singing sad ghazals and songs.

If you fall in love with someone and cannot succeed then you always like listening to and singing sad songs.

My country Pakistan has produced many legendary singers like Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Aziz Mian Qawwal, Ustad Mehdi Hassan, Madam Noor Jahan, Iqbal Bano Nayyara Noor, Attaullah Khan Eesa Khelvi, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Atif Aslam and many more. Pakistan is very rich in producing talented singers.

I think God blessed me with a talent for singing. Whenever I am alone I start singing spontaneously. I do not have control over myself. I believe if you want to become a good singer you have to become a good listener. If you listen to songs regularly then you get an idea of better singing.
