Hello everybody on Hive and especially the PukuMundo Community! My name is Jasper and I'm writing (and singing) to you from Cape Town, South Africa! I’m back in the backseat of my car in the office parking lot after a long day trying to sing you a song before Monday ends!

This is Week 63 of “The Singing Voice” or “La Voz Cantante” challenge! The aim of the game is to play a rock cover, or perhaps a cover of a genre that led to the formation of rock music.

The guitar I grabbed on my way out of the door on the way to the office this morning happens to be tuned to DADGAD tuning, so why not sing you a song where that kind of tuning works well? The one that comes to mind is “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” by U2, which gets a more sombre, pensive sound that seems to match a solo acoustic version…

¡Esta es la Semana 63 del desafío “La Voz Cantante” o “La Voz Cantante”! El objetivo del juego es tocar una versión de rock, o tal vez una versión de un género que condujo a la formación de la música rock.

La guitarra que agarré al salir por la puerta de camino a la oficina esta mañana está afinada en DADGAD, así que ¿por qué no cantarles una canción en la que ese tipo de afinación funcione bien? El que me viene a la mente es “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” de U2, que consigue un sonido más sombrío y pensativo que parece encajar con una versión acústica solista…
