Hola amigos de Hive, a continuación quiero hablarles sobre un videojuego lanzado en el año 2000 llamado Dark Reign 2, hay tantos juegos que no pude jugar en aquella época pues no tenía una computadora capaz de correr juegos superiores a Los Sims gráficamente, por lo que me verán probando un gran cantidad de juegos Retros que ahora si puedo jugar, aunque hay otros que no porque ya no son compatibles con los nuevos sistemas operativos.

Pues les comento que me ha parecido Dark Reign 2 en este primer Gameplay, tomamos el control de un grupo de soldados, en esta primera misión nuestra nave es derribada por los mecanismo de defensa tierra aire de nuestros enemigos, que en este demo no me he enterado quienes son, pero todo apunta a que es una guerra interplanetaria por la conquista de distintos planetas.

In this first gameplay, we take control of a group of soldiers, in this first mission our ship is shot down by the defense mechanism of our enemies' ground-air defense, which in this demo I have not found out who they are, but everything points to an interplanetary war for the conquest of different planets.

De manera que una vez en el suelo, nuestro pelotón debe desplazarse por el espacio, el cual se trata de una ciudad futurista destruida, en la que nos encontraremos bases aliadas y enemigas, el propósito parece ser destruir la defensa antiaérea para que nos venga a rescatar y poder dejar este lugar. Así tendremos que arreglárnosla primero para construir nuestra base y segundo para eliminar a nuestros enemigos, y los lanza misiles.

So once on the ground, our platoon must move through space, which is a futuristic city destroyed, in which we will find allied and enemy bases, the purpose seems to be to destroy the anti-aircraft defense to come to our rescue and be able to leave this place. So we will have to manage first to build our base and second to eliminate our enemies, and missile launchers.

Algo que me gustó bastante del juego es la cámara, el juego se ve desde arriba como un juego de estrategia común, pero tenemos la posibilidad de acercarnos bastante a la superficie y ver el entorno desde otro ángulo, de manera que podemos apreciar de manera detallada nuestros soldados, nuestros enemigos y todo el entorno.

Something I quite liked about the game is the camera, the game is seen from above as a common strategy game, but we have the possibility to get quite close to the surface and see the environment from another angle, so that we can appreciate in detail our soldiers, our enemies and the whole environment.

Los movimientos son simples, se controla con el mouse, seleccionamos a los soldados que queremos movilizar o a los cuales dar instrucciones de atacar, pude notar que aunque les digamos que ataquen a un enemigo en especifico, según la cantidad de soldados que hayan , ellos atacan automáticamente a quien consideran peligroso, de manera que me parece que tiene muy buena inteligencia artificial.

The movements are simple, it is controlled with the mouse, we select the soldiers we want to mobilize or to which we give instructions to attack, I could notice that even if we tell them to attack a specific enemy, depending on the number of soldiers, they automatically attack who they consider dangerous, so it seems to me that it has very good artificial intelligence.

Música prácticamente no tiene, pero si tiene voces bastante interesantes que nos van guiando a lo largo de la misión y describiendo todo lo que va pasando, tiene buenos efectos de sonido, los disparos las explosiones, entre otros, me ha parecido que compensa el hecho de que no tengan música.

There is practically no music, but it does have quite interesting voices that guide us throughout the mission and describe everything that is happening, it has good sound effects, gunshots, explosions, among others, I think it compensates for the fact that there is no music.

Gráficamente, está muy bueno, para ser del año 2000 tiene gráficos increíbles, muy bien definidos. Tal vez lo único que mejoraría son los fotografamas de las explosiones, no son tan realistas, por que algunos objetos explotan, de forma muy brusca no se alcanza a ver la secuencia completa de explosión. Pero son detalles mínimos la verdad.

Graphically, it is very good, for being from the year 2000 it has incredible graphics, very well defined. Perhaps the only thing that could be improved are the photographs of the explosions, they are not so realistic, because some objects explode very abruptly and you can't see the complete explosion sequence. But these are minor details.

Que más puedo decir de este juego, la misión que les muestro en el gameplay , estuvo bastante sencilla, en la próxima parte estaré jugando una misión la cual espero que sea retadora.

What else can I say about this game, the mission that I show you in the gameplay, was quite simple, in the next part I will be playing a mission which I hope will be challenging.
