Hola amigos de Hive, como ya es costumbre les traigo más Demos de juegos retro, de verdad que me gusta mucho revisar en mis viejos discos para ver que juego interesante consigo, y aquí les presento uno de ellos.

Hello friends of Hive, as usual I bring you more Demos of retro games, I really like to check my old disks to see what interesting game I get, and here I present one of them.

Se trata de The Typing of the Dead, un juego lanzado en el año 2000 que resultó bastante innovador principalmente por sus controles y es que en este juego, el cual es una especie de shooter survival horror, no dispararemos apuntando a nuestros enemigos, con ningún arma, tendremos que defendernos y atacarlos utilizando el abecedario , si así como lo leen, tendremos que escribir palabras para impactar a los enemigos, es como si cada letra en cada palabra fuese una bala.

It is The Typing of the Dead, a game released in 2000 that was quite innovative mainly because of its controls and in this game, which is a kind of survival horror shooter, we will not shoot aiming at our enemies with any weapon, we will have to defend ourselves and attack them using the alphabet, yes as you read it, we will have to write words to hit the enemies, it is as if each letter in each word was a bullet.

El juego tiene su historia, la cual tal vez no es muy profunda pero si resulta bastante interesante, y para aquellos que amamos las historias en cada videojuego nos sentiremos a gusto atravesando una ciudad en caos, en la que además tendremos que rescatar a muchos civiles inocentes, y nuestra rapidez y decisión al momento del rescate nos serán recompensadas.

The game has a story, which may not be very deep but it is quite interesting, and for those who love stories in every video game we will feel at ease going through a city in chaos, in which we will also have to rescue many innocent civilians, and our speed and decision at the time of rescue will be rewarded.

El juego tiene una gran variedad de enemigos cada uno con diferentes características, algunos son más lentos otros más rápidos, no todos son zombies, algunos son animales, que pueden ser más fáciles o más difíciles de vencer. Pero lo mejor de todo son los jefes, en los que tendremos que tener nuestros dedos bien calientes para no permitir que nos exterminen.

The game has a wide variety of enemies each with different characteristics, some are slower others faster, not all are zombies, some are animals, which can be easier or more difficult to defeat. But best of all are the bosses, in which we will have to have our fingers very hot to not allow them to exterminate us.

En ocasiones lo más difícil es teclear algunos caracteres especiales, y si no tenemos bien configurado el teclado tendremos que prepararnos para perder un par de veces, es necesario tener el teclado bien configurado, debe ser en idioma inglés.

Sometimes the most difficult thing is to type some special characters, and if we do not have the keyboard well configured we will have to be prepared to lose a couple of times, it is necessary to have the keyboard well configured, it must be in English language.

Además del modo historia, podremos jugar otras modalidades, que implican más acción y menos historia. Creo que gráficamente está muy bien logrado para le época, todo se ve bastante bien, gráficos sólidos, coloridos, buenas animaciones, y en cuanto a sonido, no tendremos música en nuestro recorrido pero si muy buenos efectos de sonido, y voces, ya sea de otras personas o de los monstruos.

In addition to the story mode, we can play other modes, which involve more action and less story. I think that graphically it is very well done for the time, everything looks pretty good, solid graphics, colorful, good animations, and in terms of sound, we will not have music in our journey but very good sound effects, and voices, either from other people or monsters.

Hace poco vi que compartieron este juego en la comunidad, pero se trataba de The House of the Dead, la cual es su lanzamiento original, en el que se dispara con una pistola y no tecleando en la pantalla. Yo creo que esta modalidad es mucho más original, y definitivamente puede ser hasta educativo, algo asi como un curso de mecanografía jaja, si les llama la atención y quiere incluso mejorar su velocidad en el teclado, este juego es para ustedes.

I recently saw this game shared in the community, but it was The House of the Dead, which is its original release, in which you shoot with a gun and not by typing on the screen. I think this mode is much more original, and definitely can be even educational, something like a typing course haha, if it catches your attention and you want to even improve your speed on the keyboard, this game is for you.
