Hola amigos de Hive, hoy les traigo mis primeras impresiones de un juego para Android llamado “Alicia y el reformatorio para Brujas”. Este es un juego bastante sencillo, que pesa poco menos de 60 mb, por lo que pueden descargarlo en dispositivos con poco espacio, o de baja gama.

El juego me gusta a pesar de su sencillez, y es que siempre me han llamado la atención las temáticas que tiene que ver con lo oculto, un reformatorio de brujas, que interesante, porque reformatorio en mi país es como una cárcel, en otros países es un lugar muy estricto para corregir la conducta de los jóvenes, y en este juego son bastante duros con nosotros y parece que estamos más bien en un manicomio.

Los gráficos son dibujos en 2D, los entornos son bastante coloridos, y pocos elementos están animados, lo que más tiene movimiento es nuestro personaje, los demás personajes, objetos o animales, solo tienen 1 o 2 fotogramas para representar el movimiento. Los escenarios están bien diseñados, y aunque no hay mucha interacción, si se nos suministra información de cada ítem al tocar sobre ellos.

El sonido está bien acoplado a la temática, la música es una combinación de misterio y aventura bastante sutil, algo que me agrada. Los efectos de sonido son escasos, pero creo que la música logra sumergirnos en la trama y generar una atmósfera acorde para que el juego nos atrape.

La historia es bastante completa, pues nos lleva a la infancia de Alicia, una niña a la que le sucedían cosas extrañas, y cuyo padre era un brujo que la abandonó a temprana edad y por lo tanto creció con su abuela, a medida que crecía las cosas se tornaba más extrañas, hasta que un día unas mujeres fueron a buscarla en casa y hasta recibió amenazas si no se iba a con ellas.

Alicia tomó le decisión de irse con ellas, fueron hasta el cementerio de la ciudad y allí se encontró con que lo que creyó que era una iglesia abandonada, se trataba realmente de un reformatorio para brujas. Le fue asignada una habitación compartida, con una niña que parece estar fuera de sí, inanimada, impasible, como si su cerebro hubiese sido extirpado. Alicia debe buscar la forma de escapar del reformatorio, por lo que tendrá que encontrar objetos que le ayuden con su plan.

Ya durante el juego lo más útil que encontré fue una cuchara, cuyo mango que conseguí afilar con un ladrillo suelto en la pared, esto me permitió romper la funda de una almohada que parecía tener un libro dentro, o más bien, un diario de una niña que relata los horrores que vivió en el reformatorio.Esta cuchará también me permitió abrir una recipiente con comida dentro, del cual puede obtener un trozo de queso, para llamar la atención de un pequeño ratón, el cual pude atrapar con un poco de hilo que obtuve del trabajo forzado, que la vieja bruja que me llevó hasta allí me pone a hacer.

El ratón resultó muy útil, pues la vieja bruja, es muy malvada pero tiene pánico a los ratones y con él conseguí que me dejara solo en la habitación de trabajados forzados para investigar un poco, en donde conseguí nuevos ítems, que seguramente serán de mucha utilidad a medida que avance en el juego.

Definitivamente tengo que conseguir escapar de allí, pues todos los días me llevan a terapia , una terapia que consiste en que me coloquen una inyección y me dejen inconsciente, seguramente quedaré como la chica que me acompaña en mi habitación, pobre Alicia.

Creo que este juego es evidencia de que no necesitas gráficos avanzados, ni dinámicas de juego tan elaboradas, solo basta una buena historia para que el juego te atrape y creo que Alicia y el reformatorio para Brujas lo logra muy bien.

I like the game despite its simplicity, and is that I have always been attracted by the themes that has to do with the occult, a reformatory for witches, which interesting, because reformatory in my country is like a prison, in other countries is a very strict place to correct the behavior of young people, and in this game are quite hard on us and it seems that we are rather in a madhouse.

The graphics are 2D drawings, the environments are quite colorful, and few elements are animated, what has more movement is our character, the other characters, objects or animals, only have 1 or 2 frames to represent movement. The scenarios are well designed, and although there is not much interaction, if we are provided with information of each item by touching on them.

The sound is well matched to the theme, the music is a combination of mystery and adventure quite subtle, something I like. The sound effects are scarce, but I think the music manages to immerse us in the plot and generate an atmosphere that makes the game catch us.

The story is quite complete, as it takes us to the childhood of Alice, a girl to whom strange things happened, and whose father was a sorcerer who abandoned her at an early age and therefore grew up with her grandmother, as she grew up things became stranger, until one day some women went to look for her at home and even received threats if she did not go to them.

Alicia made the decision to go with them, they went to the city cemetery and there she found that what she thought was an abandoned church, was really a reformatory for witches. She was assigned a shared room with a girl who seemed to be out of her mind, inanimate, impassive, as if her brain had been removed. Alicia must find a way to escape from the reformatory, so she will have to find objects that will help her with her plan.

Already during the game the most useful thing I found was a spoon, whose handle I managed to sharpen with a loose brick on the wall, this allowed me to break the cover of a pillow that seemed to have a book inside, or rather, a diary of a girl who recounts the horrors she lived in the reformatory. This spoon also allowed me to open a container with food inside, from which you can get a piece of cheese, to attract the attention of a small mouse, which I could catch with a bit of thread that I got from the forced labor, that the old witch who took me there puts me to do.

The mouse turned out to be very useful, because the old witch, is very evil but she has panic to the mice and with it I got her to leave me alone in the forced labor room to investigate a little, where I got new items, that surely will be very useful as I advance in the game.

Definitely I have to escape from there, because every day they take me to therapy, a therapy that consists of giving me an injection and leave me unconscious, I will surely be like the girl who accompanies me in my room, poor Alicia.

I think this game is evidence that you don't need advanced graphics, nor game dynamics so elaborate, just a good story is enough for the game to catch you and I think Alice and the reformatory for Witches achieves it very well.
