Greetings to all #hivers and #swc colleagues, I hope you are all doing well. This time I will be sharing with you the second part of the preparation routine for the Handstand Push Ups (HPSU). To be able to perform this routine it is important to be able to master the previous one, since this way we will have the strength, technique and control necessary for what we will work on at this level. Without further ado, let's see the routine, I hope you like it and soon we will have part 3.
Trabajo Específico del Elemento
Element Specific Work
4x1 Subida por fuerza a Handstand
4x1 Handstand Power Climb
Here we will start from a Dwarf or Tuck Planche position with the elbows unlocked. Once we are there we will go up to the Handstand form. It is #IMPORTANT that you keep in mind that at the time of enhancing the concentric part (rise) must form an angle of 90 °, ie, make a square that goes from our shoulders to the support that will be our hands, either on the ground or parallel. Keep in mind that if you exceed this 90° angle and try to push up, you will fall backwards, since you do not have the strength to climb from DEEP HPSU. That said, we simply go up and hold for a few seconds in Handstand.
4x2 Flexiones parciales en Handstand
4x2 Partial Push-ups on Handstand
As the name says, we will perform partial repetitions, that is, we will not go down to 90°. We will do a semi elbow bend and go up, as you can see in the video and the picture. (Squeeze the whole body, as a good teacher said: "BE A BLOCK").
4x6seg Isométrico de HPSU parte baja
4x6sec Isometric of HPSU low side
Here what we will do will be to maintain the posture in the lower part of the HPSU, that is to say when our arms mark that 90° angle mentioned above. (Squeeze the whole body, as a good teacher said: "BE A BLOCK").
4x3 Negativa de HPSU
4x3 Negative of HPSU
In this progression we will mark Handstand and do the elbow flexion until our arms mark an angle of 90°, we get off and repeat 2 more times.
4xMAX Handstand Libre
4xMAX Handstand Free
Here we will only maintain the Handstand posture as much as we can. Always remembering the basic principles of Handstand.
Ejercicios Básicos para Reforzamiento
Basic Strengthening Exercises
4x12 Flexiones Pike
Basic Strengthening Exercises
4x12 Flexiones Declinadas
4x12 Declined Push Ups
4x12 Flexiones Regulares
4x12 Regular Push Ups
Without more to add, I hope you liked the post and the routine too. It remains to remember that before each training session it is essential to warm up for at least 20 minutes, since this way we will perform even better in each training session. See you in a next post.
