Para el año 2018 me encontraba en una situación difícil. Luego de cuarenta y cinco años dedicados a la docencia terminé con esa actividad.

Lo peor fue que mi decisión de no continuar con mi trabajo de Profesor Universitario se debió principalmente a una situación de tipo económico propia de mi país; el sueldo recibido no alcanzaba ni siquiera para trasladarme a la Universidad.

Entre mis planes nunca estuvo el dejar de ir a clases, a mí me apasiona estar con los alumnos, y siempre imaginé que iba a estar en las aulas hasta el día anterior a mí muerte. La gran expectativa de mi vida se había desvanecido. La frustración se apoderó de mí.

Por fortuna mi sobrina me informó de un sitio donde podía escribir y de pronto obtener alguna recompensa por ello. Con esa información me decidí a inscribirme en Steemit.

Al principio mi mayor expectativa era mantenerme activo. Yo necesitaba mantener la mente ocupada en algo, porque al vacío creado por el cese de mi actividad universitaria se sumaba la partida de mis hijos al exterior. Mi esposa y yo nos habíamos quedado solos y necesitábamos algo para lidiar con ese gran duelo que sentíamos.

Así que durante mucho tiempo mi única expectativa fue crear contenido, ni siquiera estaba muy pendiente por el tema de las recompensas. Yo me sentía feliz de tener un sitio donde compartir mis inquietudes y contar con una comunidad con la que sentirme acompañado.

Fue pasando el tiempo y tuve que buscar una actividad para generar mayores ingresos, encontré un trabajo FreeLancer que me ocupaba mucho tiempo, entonces decidí dejar Steemit por un tiempo, estuve fuera como ocho meses. Pero no estaba totalmente desconectado porque cumplía con mi compromiso de un artículo periódico para los amigos de Contenido Original de Cervantes.

Al reingresar me encontré con el problema creado por el señor Sun. Para ese momento yo estaba harto de personas autoritarias y mandonas. Y me pareció inadecuada la intención de este señor de apoderarse de Steemit pasando por encima de todo lo que había creado la comunidad. Fue por eso que cuando se planteó la posibilidad de crear una nueva Blockchain no lo pensé dos veces y me vine a HIVE.

Unirme a HIVE fue sin duda una gran decisión, acá mi crecimiento ha sido sostenido. Desde el primer día recibí muchísimos apoyos y sentí con mucho más fuerza el calor de una comunidad sólida e integrada, los hivers son gente muy especiales, con ellos uno nunca se siente solo y puede estar seguro que siempre va a tener una mano amiga para apoyarse.

En HIVE me he dado cuenta que este es un gran ecosistema donde hay muchas oportunidades para todos, y que cada quien puede ir encontrando su sitio para cumplir sus expectativas. En HIVE no hay límites para crecer, acá todos lo pueden hacer en función de su ingenio y compromiso.

Mi expectativa básicamente sigue siendo la misma, mantenerme como creador de contenidos. He recibido invitaciones de amigos para sumarme a otro tipo de proyectos pero estoy en una época donde tengo limitaciones, y sé que no puedo cumplir con las exigencias que implican otras actividades distintas a las de crear contenidos. Espero mantenerme acá durante mucho tiempo.

Fortunately my niece informed me of a site where I could write and suddenly get some reward for it. With that information I decided to sign up for Steemit.

At first my main expectation was to stay active. I needed to keep my mind occupied in something, because the vacancy created by the cessation of my university activity was compounded by the departure of my children abroad. My wife and I had been left alone and we needed something to deal with the great grief we felt.

So for a long time my only expectation was to create content, I wasn't even very aware of the rewards. I was happy to have a place to share my concerns and to have a community with whom I felt accompanied.

Time went by and I had to look for an activity to generate more income, I found a FreeLancer job that occupied me a lot of time, then I decided to leave steemit for a while, I was out for about eight months. But I was not totally disconnected because I was fulfilling my commitment of a periodic article for the friends of Contenido Original de Cervantes.

Upon re-entering I ran into the problem created by Mr. Sun. By that time I was fed up with authoritarian and bossy people. And I found inadequate the intention of this gentleman to take over Steemit over everything the community had created. That's why when the possibility of creating a new Blockchain came up I didn't think twice and I joined HIVE.

Joining HIVE was undoubtedly a great decision, here my growth has been sustained. From the first day I received a lot of support and I felt much more strongly the warmth of a solid and integrated community, the hivers are very special people, with them you never feel alone and you can be sure that you will always have a helping hand to support you.

In HIVE I have realized that this is a great ecosystem where there are many opportunities for everyone, and that everyone can find their place to fulfill their expectations. In HIVE there are no limits to grow, here everyone can do it according to their ingenuity and commitment.

My expectations basically remain the same, to continue as a content creator. I have received invitations from friends to join other types of projects but I am at a time where I have limitations, and I know that I can not meet the demands of other activities other than creating content. I hope to stay here for a long time.
