Continuing with this new habit and opportunity to bring you, week after week, a new interpretation with my dear life companion, my violin, I share with you a classic of pop rock culture, of all times "Love of my life".
Fun fact: The possibility of sharing my videos with you has helped me to detect certain habits that I acquired through inactivity. Well, I'm already working on correcting them. 🙏🏻
"Queen" the iconic band of the 70's that became popular for their risky and colorful proposals to the rock culture, for songs like Bohemia Rapshody, Innuendo, Wey are the Champions, among others.
This time the cover of "Love of my life" interpreted by me, on violin.
This song, from the album "A Night at the Opera" was the song that Freddy Mercury, lead singer of the band, dedicated to his girlfriend. This rock ballad was arranged for strings, guitar solo (Brian May) and, as a special spice, a harp written by Freddy.
Queen is a British rock band of the 70's Londines. Vocalist and pianist Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor. Bassist John Deacon joined a year later to complete the classic structure. Their influences were progressive rock, hard rock and heavy metal. It could be said that Queen bet on the commercial, that's why they managed to quickly climb and break into the radio spectrum.
I chose this theme for week 16 because it is an exciting, dedicable piece, for its beauty and distinction. Probably one of the most important works in Freddy's life. Also, it is one of my mom's favorite themes, so, as always, I dedicate this post to my mommy.
Love of my life, you've hurt me
You've broken my heart, and now you leave me
Love of my life, can't you see?
Bring it back, bring it back, don't take it away from me
Because you don't know what it means to me
Love of my life, don't leave me
You've taken my love (all my love), you now desert me
Love of my life, can't you see? (Please bring it back)
Bring it back, bring it back, don't take it away from me
Because you don't know what it means to me (means to me)
You will remember when this is blown over
And everything's all by the way (ooh, yeah)
When I grow older, I will be there at your side (ooh)
To remind you how I still love you (I still love you)
Back, hurry back, please bring it back home to me
Because you don't know what it means to me (means to me)
Love of my life
Love of my life
(Ooh, ooh)
