THE GODFATHER - DRAWING ON BLACK PAPER [ENG-ESP]

Hello Friend how are you? I hope very well, on this occasion I want to share with you a drawing that I made in Time-Lapse format of The Godfather, Marlon Brando's character in that great and legendary film, in my opinion one of the best films of all time. I made this drawing on black cardboard and with white pencil, here you can see how it was done step by step.

Hola amigos, que tal? espero que muy bien, en esta oportunidad quiero compartir con ustedes un dibujo que hice en formato Time-Lapse de El Padrino, personaje de Marlon Brando en esa gran y legendaria película, a mi parecer una de las mejores películas de todos los tiempos. Este dibujo lo hice en cartulina de color negro y con lápiz de color blanco, aquí podrán ver como fue el paso a paso.

I drew some simple guide lines, through them I built the sketch of The Godfather's face in the center of the page. I placed each part in the most reliable way possible, each drawing is always unique.

Dibujé unas líneas guías sencillas, a través de ella fui construyendo el boceto del rostro de El Padrino en el centro de la hoja. Fui colocando cada parte de la manera mas fiable posible, cada dibujo siempre es único.

Then using the sketch as a base I begin to fill in the entire interior of the drawing, here I use wax pencil from Prismacolor, it is a very good brand of colors, since its pigments are very moist and help to achieve a better finish, especially the White color.

Luego usando el boceto como base comienzo a rellenar todo el interior del dibujo, aquí utilizo lápiz de cera de la marca Prismacolor, es una marca muy buena de colores, ya que sus pigmentos son bien húmedos y ayudan a lograr un mejor acabado, especialmente el color blanco.

After doing the filling with the white wax pencil, I start using the other white pencil, the one I usually use for these jobs is white charcoal. This type of color helps me create the effect of light reflected on the face, increasing the volume and helping to give it more realism.

Después de hacer el relleno con el lápiz de color blanco de cera, comienzo a utilizar el otro lápiz de color blanco, el que suelo usar para estos trabajos es el carboncillo blanco. Este tipo de color me ayuda a hacer el efecto de luz reflejado en el rostro, aumentando el volumen y ayudando a darle más realismo.

Finally, I take care of the rest of the details, such as his hand, which always has a very strange gesture when it comes to giving an order. At the same time I draw and paint a blurred light background, this serves as a reinforcement for the contrast of the drawing in general.

Para finalizar me encargo del resto de detalles, como es su mano, que siempre tiene un ademan muy extraño cuando se trata de dar una orden. A su vez dibujo y pinto un fondo de luz difuminado, esto sirve como refuerzo para el contraste del dibujo en general.
