"Génesis del Ser" from sketch to digital artwork, a glimpse of my creative process

A little more than a year ago I made the pencil sketch of this work. The result was a character that gave birth to many others; this first character is called "Genesis of the Self".

Once the sketch was finished, I took a picture of it.

I opened the photograph through the Medibang Paint Pro program to proceed to create the character digitally. I used the photograph as the initial layer, on which I created other layers on which I painted digitally. You can see part of the process in the video.

In one layer I added the skin color, in another the shadows, in another layer I added the hair and so I developed the work layer by layer.

"Genesis of the Self" is a play inspired by the opportunities we have every day, to be reborn and flourish. This work invites us to be reborn with the sun that rises at dawn announcing a new day and to bloom becoming our best version.

This work is very important to me, because it represents a moment in my evolution as an artist, it represents the search and experimentation. The sketch of this work, allowed me to give life to different characters that were born later, with different characteristics, colors and messages to convey. Later I will share these characters with you. Today I share with you part of the process that gave birth to it. Sometimes, the beautiful thing is not only the goal, it is also the path that leads us to it.
