Hello beautiful people of the Hive Open Mic community here @eudarcabello this time to participate in the week 110 titled musical embrace and sharing the presentation I had in the hypergalerias shopping center in the city of Cumana, with a cover of the beautiful song by Roberto Cantoral called El Reloj.
I was very nervous and excited because it was my first participation as a soloist with the Arte&Opera foundation and I had to show the work they were doing with me for this theme, I hope the teacher @mariajruizb and the teacher @danieldedosd2 were happy with my participation despite not having applied all their corrections, I guess the nerves were not my allies, I ended up doing it more like I was doing it before than how they helped me to improve it.
There are many theories about who the composer Roberto Cantoral dedicated his song to and maybe the favorite of the fans is a romance he had, for my part I connect more with the song because they say it is about his wife or his mother in a hospital about to die and he was looking at the clock and wished it would stop so he wouldn't lose his beloved, my mother passed away a few years ago and I feel that affinity with this song, I would like to transmit that connection and I hope to achieve it.
Reloj no marques las horas
porque voy a enloquecer
ella se irá para siempre
cuando amanezca otra vez
Nomás nos queda esta noche
para vivir nuestro amor
y tu tic-tac me recuerda
mi irremediable dolor
Reloj detén tu camino
porque mi vida se apaga
ella es la estrella
que alumbra mi ser
yo sin su amor no soy nada
Detén el tiempo en tus manos
haz esta noche perpetua
para que nunca se vaya de mí
para que nunca amanezca
Clock don't mark the hours
because I'm going to go crazy
she'll be gone forever
when the dawn comes again
We only have this one night left
to live our love
and your ticking reminds me
my irremediable pain
Clock stop your way
because my life is fading
she is the star
that illuminates my being
without her love I am nothing
Stop time in your hands
make this night perpetual
so that it never leaves me
so that it never dawns
Special thanks to the teachers @mariajruizb and @danieldedosd2 for their effort to make my presentation the best possible, to my friend and Urban Singer Enrique L'GranD for helping me record and to the rest of the Arte&Opera foundation for the companionship and familiarity they have been able to lend me.
Thank you for your support. I hope you liked my post as much as I did and I invite you to visit my future posts.
