Hay momentos que son irremplazables en nuestra historia, mismos que son muy reemplazables en la vida de otros, pero en nosotros han marcado un antes, un después, un inicio o un final.

En el año 2019, hace 4 años, la iglesia local en la que me congrego vio nace al que hoy es el Grupo de Adoración Getsemaní. En ese entonces, el grupo estaba conformado por jóvenes y mujeres llenos de compromiso y ganas ofrecer ofrendas agradables al creador; y este reto que ellos afrontaron era el de levantar la música, la adoración con instrumentos y voces. Así que eran creyentes con facultades para la música, todos muy humildes en destreza y conocimientos, pero llenos de la gracia de Dios.

Tiempo después, el Padre me llama con cuerdas de amor y, otro tiempo después, me acoplé a ese conjunto de personas entregadas en adoración. Entonces descubrí la verdad: la verdad de los procesos tan duros que se afrontan individual y colectivamente en el grupo de adoración y en nuestras vidas cotidianas, como una lucha implacable, pero que hoy, después de años, está dando frutos hermosos; veo los frutos y me alegro, me gozo en gran manera cuando veo cómo Dios ha cuidado de nosotros, cómo nos ha enseñado y fortalecido; y me entusiasma, me pone nervioso y me emociona el descubrir lo que Dios nos permitirá vivir hoy y mañana.

Una canción que marcó el génesis de la agrupación, fue “Inúndanos” de Kabed. La canción, aún hoy la estamos interpretando, aunque con menos frecuencia para evitar la repetitividad; el cariño que le tenemos a la canción, es similar a ese cariño que sentiría un beisbolista hacia su primer guante de beisbol. Estoy agradecido por todas las bondades de Dios, entre esas bondades, el placer que tengo de estar junto a los escogidos; porque aún las veces que he sido infiel, él no me desechó; así que las cosas viejas pasaron, he aquí, todas son hechas nuevas.

Uno mi linterna a este festival de luces con un corazón agradecido y entusiasta. Gracias adornen a los sencillos; no se turbe vuestro corazón, ni tenga miedo, porque a los que creen, él dijo en Juan 14:27: Mi paz os dejo, mi paz os doy; y no, él no da una paz como el mundo la da.

So they were believers with musical abilities, all very humble in skill and knowledge, but full of the grace of God.

Some time later, the Father called me with chords of love and, another time later, I joined that group of people dedicated in worship. Then I discovered the truth: the truth of the hard processes that are faced individually and collectively in the worship group and in our daily lives, like a relentless struggle, but that today, after years, is bearing beautiful fruits; I see the fruits and I am happy, I rejoice greatly when I see how God has taken care of us, how he has taught us and strengthened us; and it excites me, makes me nervous and excites me to discover what God will allow us to experience today and tomorrow.

A song that marked the genesis of the group was “Inúndanos” by Kabed. We are still performing the song today, although less frequently to avoid repetitiveness; The affection we have for the song is similar to the affection that a baseball player would feel towards his first baseball glove. I am grateful for all the goodness of God, among those goodness, the pleasure I have of being with the chosen ones; because even the times I have been unfaithful, he did not reject me; So the old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new.
