Exposición de mi hijo sobre el "Tacto": II nivel de preescolar

Nunca pensé que a los 4 años mi hijo tendría que prepararse para realizar una exposición sobre uno de los 5 sentidos, el tacto. No sé por qué, pero en mi mente solo imaginaba el preescolar como un lugar de juegos, pintar y recortar, claro que cada una de estas actividades tienen sus funciones, para el desarrollo motor e intelectual de los niños.

Si bien no podemos salir corriendo antes de caminar, me parece que incentivar a los niños a que aprendan de un tema y realicen una presentación sobre el mismo, les da una ventaja en su desenvolvimiento social, perdiendo el miedo escénico y ganando confianza en sí mismos, pero, ¿cómo podemos guiarlos en su preparación, tomando en cuenta que son niños pequeños que aún no saben leer y escribir?

I never thought that at 4 years old my son would have to prepare for an exhibition on one of the 5 senses, touch. I don't know why, but in my mind I only imagined preschool as a place to play, paint and cut out, of course each of these activities have their functions, for the motor and intellectual development of children.

While we cannot run before we walk, it seems to me that encouraging children to learn about a topic and make a presentation on it, gives them an advantage in their social development, losing stage fright and gaining self-confidence, but how can we guide them in their preparation, taking into account that they are young children who do not yet know how to read and write?

Para mí, y fue esto lo que realice al enterarme del tema que le correspondía a mi hijo, lo primordial es indagar que tanto conoce el niño sobre el tema. Esto nos permite tener una idea de cómo vamos a desarrollar el mismo.

Lo siguiente que hice fue consultar información de interés, en internet o libros, quería redactar un párrafo pequeño que Angel memorizara con facilidad y que los niños comprendieran la función del tacto.

Al redactar, debemos seleccionar palabras sencillas y tratar que el texto no sea tan largo. Una vez listo el texto, preparamos el material de apoyo. Este debe ser muy visual, representar el tema con dibujos que los niños relacionen. En este caso, dibuje las manos de mi niño en la lámina y en casa palma agregué texturas y objetos para que lograra distinguir entre algo liso o rugoso, duro o blando.

Me encantó preparar la lámina y tratar de involucrar al niño durante todo el proceso, porque él es quien está en el proceso de aprendizaje. Muchas veces se comete el error de hacerles toda la tarea a los niños para que presenten algo bonito y perfecto, olvidando que eso no es lo importante y mucho menos en la etapa inicial. Angel agregó color, ayudó a recortar y pegar.

For me, and this is what I did when I learned about my son's topic, the most important thing is to find out how much the child knows about the topic. This allows us to have an idea of how we are going to develop it.

The next thing I did was to consult information of interest, on the internet or in books, I wanted to write a small paragraph that Angel could memorize easily and that the children would understand the function of touch.

When writing, we should select simple words and try not to make the text too long. Once the text was ready, we prepared the supporting material. This should be very visual, representing the topic with drawings that the children can relate to. In this case, I drew my child's hands on the poster and added textures and objects in the palm of my hand so that he could distinguish between something smooth or rough, hard or soft.

I loved preparing the sheet and trying to involve the child during the whole process, because he is the one who is in the learning process. Many times we make the mistake of doing all the homework for the children so that they can present something beautiful and perfect, forgetting that this is not what is important, much less in the initial stage. Angel added color, helped with cutting and gluing.

El siguiente paso es ayudarlos a comprender el tema. Me apoyé en vídeos infantiles, jugamos a descubrir texturas y practicamos en casa la exposición junto a su prima Camila, ella habló sobre el gusto. Al practicar juntos, se mantuvieron concentrados y entretenidos.

El día de la exposición me aseguré que se levantará temprano y tranquilo. Él a veces no está de ánimos para ir a la escuela, pero siempre logró convencerlo. A veces tiene mucho sueño por los antialérgicos que levantarlo es una odisea y tenemos que salir corriendo para no llegar tarde. Este día todo salió bien, despertó de buen humor y dispuesto. Lo dejé en su salón y a eso de las 10 volví junto a mi esposo para ver su exposición. Angel estaba nervioso, pero lo logró. Se notó un gran cambio en comparación con su primera exposición, así que todo el trabajo de un año ha valido toda la pena.

On the day of the exhibition I made sure he gets up early and quiet. He is sometimes not in the mood to go to school, but I always managed to convince him. Sometimes he is so sleepy because of the allergy medicine that getting him up is an odyssey and we have to rush off to avoid being late. This day everything went well, he woke up in a good mood and willing. I left him in his living room and at about 10 o'clock I returned with my husband to see his exhibition. Angel was nervous, but he made it. There was a big change compared to his first show, so all the work of a year has been worth it.
