Hi Hivers, how are you all? I'm sure we're all fine. By the way, my name is @donirosayandi, I'm a guitarist. On this occasion I will sing again for the 112th week of the Hive Open Mic #openmic contest with the theme: "Tradición Local". In English, this means: "Local Tradition." A proposal from our great friend @nellynohemi.

For this week's theme I have prepared a good song, a song that is bold and related to the theme, namely the song called "Beusare-sare"
    which means together.

The song entitled "Beusare-sare" is a popular song in my area which was created by the ethnic music group "Nyawoung".
In August 2000 the Nyawoung community released their first album which contained 10 Acehnese songs. The Joe Project is a team formed by Joe and his friends: Agam Ilyas, Hafiz Syahnara, Dewi Juniati, and Faidaturrajni.
Nyawoung is famous for combining the power of modern and traditional musical instruments, Acehnese artists have produced works for Acehnese music. So, even though they are heard wailing, the ten songs on the Nyawoung album are still strong in the rhythm of rapa'i percussion, Acehnese drums, seurune kale wind instruments, nandong violins, and the vocal might of a typical Acehnese singer.
This album was a huge success, the heroic themed songs in this Nyawoung album blared in almost every house, hallway, private car, intercity bus, and public transportation vehicles in my area.

After that, in June 2002, the second album, titled World Music From Aceh, was released, with the main song "Bungong." and this Beu Sare-sare.

Different from Nyawoung's first album which combines modern and traditional music, this time the concept of World Music From Aceh is purely traditional. No use of electric musical instruments.
This song itself tells about the daily life of my people who make their livelihood and financial sources from farming and fishing. This song tells us to do work together and enthusiastically, not to procrastinate on existing work. Because neglect can plunge us into misfortune.

    Let our friends mash rice
    Together, brothers
Boys and girls don't be negligent anymore
We do it together, it's too late

This song is indeed inspired by the local tradition in my area of pounding rice together, using a pestle from a rice pounder that sounds "Bum Bam Bum" when used.
These movements when someone pounded rice were what "Nyawoung" raised in this Bersare-sare song.

    Sounds of Jengki (rice pounder)
The pestle dances the mortar with humming
    Hand sifting waist swing
Jengki went up and down, the mortar hummed

Here are the full song lyrics.

    beusaree- sare (bersama-sama)

Ureung me laot ngen ureng meugoe
    (Para nelayan dan para petani)
    Dua sam lakoe punca utama
    (dua pekerjaan laki-laki yang utama)
    Nyan keuh pangkai bagi getanyoe
    (Itulah modal bagi kita )
    Hudep lam nangggroe makmu seunia
    (Hidup di negara, makmur sejahtera)

Jak kenoe rakan lon ta jak top pade
    (Marilah teman-teman kita tumbuk padi)
    Beu sare-sare wahai syedara
    Bersama-sama wahai saudara
Agam ngen inong meu bek lalo le
Cowok dan cewek jangan lalai lagi
Ta jak beu sare uroe ka jula
Kita lakukan bersama-sama, waktu sudah telat

    Ji teu bum bam bum
    (Bum Bam Bum)
ji meusu jeungki alee jinari leusong meudoda
    (Bersuara Jengki (penumbuk padi),
    Alu menari lumpang berdendang)

    (Tangan mengayak pinggang diayunkan)
jingki ji ek tron leusong meudoda
Jengki pun naik turun, lumpang berdendang)

Ji te bum bam bum, bum
    Bum bam bum)

    English

    Fishermen and farmers
    men's two main jobs
    That's capital for us
    Live in the country, prosper

Let's our friends mash the rice
    Together, brothers
Boys and girls don't be negligent anymore
We do it together, it's too late

    Ji teuBum Bam Bum
    Sounds of Jengki (rice pounder)
The pestle dances the mortar with humming
    Hand sifting waist swing
Jengki goes up and down, the mortar sings

    Let's mash the rice
    Waist sifting shakes always
