Bald Eagle enjoying his dinner at Wrightsville Reservoir

Last summer my daughter Sky and I were paddleboarding at Wrightsville Reservoir and we were lucky enough to spot a bald eagle busy eating its fish dinner on a rock in the middle of the lake. The eagle watched unconcerned as we paddled slowly closer to observe and get this video. We turned around and paddled onward rather than disturb him further. It was truly awe inspiring to be get this close to such an iconic creature in the wild.
