Howdy, Music. A band considered one of the legendary bands of the 70's, which is really fantastic, but there is something curious that one of my music teachers commented, the disorder of the bass line, why, Boston had several songs including one of the most famous, with a disorder in their bass line? I remember I got very curious and started to look for the bass score and noticed that there was a lot of figure and changes, but is this a mess? Well, in the 70's it was a tendency to show virtuosity, to exaggerate certain chords or melodic lines

and in this band the bass was the one who had that style so moving and very nice, it's not that it's a line made without sense, it was a tendency. Today I want to make a bass line more similar to what it would be in these times, very minimalist and as a harmonic accompaniment, rather than a more elaborate melody. “More Than a Feeling” is one of the best known songs from “Boston” and today I want to share it with the music community, I hope you like it.

Que tal, Music. Una banda considerada de las legendarias de los años 70´s, que es realmente fantástica, pero hay algo curioso que comentaba uno de mis profesores de música que era, el desorden de la línea de bajo, ¿por qué, Boston tenía varios temas incluido uno de los más famosos, con un desorden en su línea de bajo? Recuerdo que me dio mucha curiosidad y empecé a buscar la partitura de bajo y noté que había mucho figuraje y cambios, ¿pero es esto un desorden? Pues, en los 70´s era una tendencia demostrar virtuosismo, exagerar ciertos acordes o líneas melódicas y en esta banda el bajo era quien tenía ese estilo tan movido y muy simpático, no es que sea una línea hecha sin sentido, era una tendencia. Hoy quiero hacer una línea de bajo más parecida a lo que sería en estos tiempos, muy minimalista y a modo de acompañamiento armónico, más que una melodía algo más elaborada. "More Than a Feeling" es una de las canciones más conocidas de “Boston” y hoy quiero compartirla con la comunidad de music, espero les guste.
