Hola, el día de hoy les traigo este video cortito hablando sobre mi experiencia al hacerme un cambio de look. Puede sonar banal pero creo que muchos de nosotros hemos pasado por algo así, un momento donde ya nos hallamos en nuestra imagen y pues toca cambiar. Aquí les comento un poco sobre ello.

Hello, today I bring you this short video talking about my experience when I had a makeover. It may sound banal but I think many of us have gone through something like this, a moment where we are already in our image and it's time to change. Here I tell you a little bit about it.

La verdad es que tengo alrededor de 6 años con el cabello largo y decidí que así fuera porque durante toda mi vida lo tuve corto. En ese momento fue rotunda la decisión y no deje que nadie modificará mi cabello. Ahora, se había transformado en un problema, tener una cabellera larga es sinónimo de mucho cuidado y varias frustraciones. Por ejemplo no podía dormir cómodamente porque se enredaba en todos lados y no estaba dispuesta a enrollarlo en una moña. También me sucedía que el cabello se metía en todos lados, algunas personas se quedaban atoradas, lo jalaban, me enredaban. Un desastre total. A parte del hecho que las puntas estaban destruidas. Por ello decidí bajar el largo y hacerle otro corte que no fuera recto.

The truth is that I have had long hair for about 6 years and I decided to keep it that way because all my life I had it short. At that time it was a resounding decision and I didn't let anyone modify my hair. Now, it had become a problem, having a long hair is synonymous of a lot of care and several frustrations. For example, I could not sleep comfortably because it got tangled everywhere and I was not willing to roll it up in a bun. It also happened to me that my hair would get everywhere, some people would get stuck in it, pull it out, and it would get tangled. A total disaster. Besides the fact that the ends were destroyed. That's why I decided to cut it shorter and make it a cut that wasn't straight.

Esta decisión tambin fue tomada porque se acerca mi acto de grado y quería verme sana y bonita. Creo que lo he logrado, la verdad, aunque ha sido un proceso de aprender a quererlo así y acostumbrarme. Yo creo firmemente que la estética es importante porque la imagen que tienes y la que das al mundo habla mucho de quién eres (aunque no del todo, a ver, una parte). Entonces si tú te sientes inseguro respecto a la forma en la que te ves, difícilmente puedes evocar confianza. Una cuestión que está más presente ahora en tiempos dónde lo visual es el sentido número 1 en nuestro mundo. Aunque claro esto no quiere decir, ni estoy llamando a nadie a seguir modas y ha seguir cánones. Que cada quien haga y vista como quiere. Yo hablo es de que indiferentemente de lo que elijas, que lo que tomes, te haga sentir seguro y feliz. Dicho esto, me despido, espero disfruten el vídeo, les mando un fuerte abrazo.

This decision was also made because my graduation ceremony is coming up and I wanted to look healthy and beautiful. I think I have achieved it, to be honest, although it has been a process of learning to want it that way and getting used to it. I firmly believe that aesthetics is important because the image you have and the image you give to the world speaks a lot about who you are (although not all of you, let's see, a part of you). So if you feel insecure about the way you look, you can hardly evoke confidence. An issue that is more present nowadays in times where the visual is the number 1 sense in our world. Although of course this does not mean, nor am I calling anyone to follow fashions and canons. Let everyone do and dress as he/she wants. What I am talking about is that whatever you choose, whatever you take, make you feel safe and happy. That said, I hope you enjoy the video, I send you a big hug.
