Second cover of the year! This is the kind of song that's been stuck in my mind since I listened to a version sung by Aquiles Machado a long time ago. It from the group Arcano. This one was formed by some heavy hitters in Venezuelan Music. I'll make sure to drop a link so you can enjoy it further in the post.

As I have mentioned before, Danza Zuliana is a genre of romanticism. It's the kind of songs that are sung in serenades. However, someone who lives in Zulia might tell me if this is wrong as I'm not remotely close to the area. Nonetheless, I consider it a really beautiful genre with a complex strum pattern and beautiful lyrics.

It was composed by Armando Molero who was dubbed as the timeless singer around the Traditional Venezuelan Music scene. His works are related to the genres that are popular in Maracaibo. In case you don't know, the song makes reference to the mouth of a woman. The metaphors make it sound as the most beautiful thing ever, but it also holds some power to be cruel and feared. Just like the women in general. That duality of beauty and awe is what made this song so catchy for me.

As usual, this is my version on the Soloist Venezuelan Cuatro. But if I ever get to singing, this is one of the songs I'll get fixed in my repertoire.

¡Es el segundo cover del año! Esta canción ha estado sonando en mi cabeza desde que la escuché por primera vez de la voz de Aquiles Machado y el grupo Arcano. Este estaba conformado por algunos referentes muy importantes de la música venezolana. Por ahí les dejaré el link para que disfruten de esa versión.

Como lo he mencionado antes, la Danza Zuliana es un género romántico. Se supone que son el tipo de canciones que se cantan en las serenatas. Sin embargo, no puedo corroborar esto porque no estoy ni cerca del estado Zulia. De lo que sí puedo dar fe es de la belleza de las canciones entre la complejidad de su ritmo y sus letras.

Este tema es del compositor Armando Molero, bautizado como "El cantor de todos los tiempos" en la música tradicional venezolana. Su obra esta llena de los géneros tradicionales que se escuchan en Maracaibo. En caso de que no lo sepas, la letras de "Tu Boca" hace referencia a la boca de una mujer. Hay metáforas que exaltan la belleza mezcladas con algunas refencias a aquello que la hace temible también. Esta dualidad en un símbolo de amor lo hace muy interesante. Quizá es eso lo que fijo esta melodía en mi cabeza.

Aquí tienen mi versión para cuatro solista. Si alguna vez llego a practicar el canto, seguro que esta canción sería una fija en mi repertorio.
