    About :

If there is one thing I appreciate so well is the little improvement in my life right now. By this time last year, I was planning to go into something different but I didn’t know if it would be possible and achievable. I am glad I was able to start it up this year and I feel proud of myself as a beginner in the tech world.

I know I love doing something when I get happy doing it. Finding Happiness in a new career path is a stepping stone to achieving great things. It brings fulfillment and satisfaction to me. I love the fact that whenever I pick up my laptop to start learning and doing my practical work I am super happy. It’s more like I love doing this and I feel motivated the more.

It hasn’t been an easy process though. I have had days where I experienced a creativity block. Days where I get to pick up my laptop and then I just can’t get anything done. I look at the screen and it is more like I can’t see anything. Some days I will make a tacky work and send it to my coach and then I will get a terrible review. A few days back I had to ask him if I was making any improvement because I felt like I wasn’t doing enough.

He was able to make me feel better and told me it is a gradual process and soon I will look back at this period and call it my humble beginning. I can’t talk about how I feel happy doing this without talking about how frustrated it gets at some point for me. Well, my coach said, “I just started, I haven’t seen anything yet”. At this point giving up is never an option so I am still taking the bull by the horns.

In UI/UX, you get the leverage to explore the design world and user interface for both mobile and website and even virtual reality experiences. It has to do with the User Interface and the User experience. You get to build an interactive interface where the user can interact and do more research on how to improve the overall user experience.

I have been doing some static virtual designs since I started and I haven’t done anything related to prototyping and how it works. When I got an assignment on making a clickable prototype, I was like can I do this? I looked at how it’s been done and I kept thinking of how strenuous it is.

On Tuesday, I decided to get down into business. Before now I have been able to design a wireframe with few frames to help me design my main work. So this made it easy for me to design my mainframes for the prototype. I didn’t get to design the full user interface as I was asked to do just a specific use of my app and then with time I will get to develop the app better. So I was done with designing my frames and just needed to do some finishing touches and do my prototype.

After my class with Uncle Ed yesterday, I felt a bit elated and I was like this is the right time to get into my Prototype. I started with my prototype and honestly, prototyping makes me feel like a “spider woman” Hehe… I like it though. I felt like that because I had to do lots of connections and to think I just did a few interfaces and the connections were much. Imagine when I am making a prototype for my main app.

Well, when I was done, press play and I can’t describe how I felt but I felt extremely happy. More like this is my first clickable prototype, I never imagined I would be able to create this. It took me a whole lot of strength not to tear up but I am glad that I am improving and I am growing.

It feels amazing to be doing this and I love every step I am taking.
