My first album, which will be available in the game Rising Star and Spotify as for +20 songs so far, but I have decided to release one of them every Sunday to give time to the users to know slowly the music, no worries, andrewmusic is a long term project, maybe 10 years, I'm still thinking about benefits and I have different ideas, but for the moment it's time to make a post for hive.

Today I share my creative process with a song called INTRO, as it will be the introduction to the album. I'm still thinking about a futuristic theme for the album and what I have in mind so far is an earth, where different nuclear bombs have fallen and now everyone is fighting to survive, soldiers, animals, battles everywhere, so each song will have a mini story.

Mi primer Disco, que estará disponible en el juego Rising Star y Spotify cuanto con +20 canciones hasta el momento, pero he decidido lanzar una de ellas cada domingo para que darle tiempo a los usuarios de conocer lentamente la música, sin afanes, andrewmusic es un proyecto a largo plazo, tal vez a 10 años, aún sigo pensando en beneficios y tengo diferentes ideas, pero por el momento es tiempo de hacer un post para hive.

Hoy comparto mi proceso creativo con una canción llamada INTRO, ya que será la introducción al disco. Sigo pensando en en una temática futurista para el disco y lo que tengo en mente hasta el momento es una tierra, donde han caído diferentes bombas nucleares y ahora todos luchan por sobrevivir, soldados, animales, batallas por doquier, por lo que cada canción tendrá un mini relato.

Yesterday I included the piano for the first time in one of the songs, it's a pretty simple tune, there are not many arrangements and it wasn't that complicated, I followed on youtube a tutorial to install a digital piano and it sounds pretty good, unfortunately for today's post, it's not that song, but still I mention it.

For today's song I'm using the drop D tuning, it means that the lowest string is in D, which makes it easier to make chords that sound heavy, robust, full, I want to be completely honest, sometimes inspiration comes down from the sky, and a song of several hours, can be ready in as little as 2 hours, it doesn't happen much, but sometimes it happens and that's when we have to be aligned working, so that once the inspiration starts to drop we are ready to put the work in.

Ayer incluí el piano por primera vez en una de las canciones, es una melodía bastante sencilla, no son muchos los arreglos y no fue tan complicado, seguí en youtube un tutorial para instalar un piano digital y suena bastante bien, lamentablemente para el post de hoy, no es esa canción, pero aún asi lo menciono.

Para la canción de hoy estoy utilizando la afinación drop D, significa que la cuerda más grave está en D, lo que facilita hacer acordes que suenan pesados, robustos, llenos, quiero ser completamente honesto, a veces la inspiración baja del cielo, y una canción de varias horas, puede quedar lista en tan solo 2 horas, no suele suceder mucho, pero a veces pasa y es allí cuando tenemos que estar alineados trabajando, para que una vez que empieza a bajar la inspiración nosotros estamos dispuestos a poner el trabajo.

The images above are a way to apply some modifications to the sound I'm using, I share it in hive because maybe it can be helpful for some people, with this configuration what I do is to give space to the mix, the sound stops feeling enclosed in a box, to give more space, I do not know how to explain it in precise terms, since I have not studied on the subject, but following tutorials is what has worked, there is still much to improve and many songs to do.

I want to refer to Joe Satriani's discography, 18 albums throughout his career, on average you can say that he releases an album every 2 years, which makes a lot of sense, one year he dedicates himself to writing and the next year he dedicates himself to promoting it and giving concerts around the world. Well for now, I don't think I'll be doing concerts around the world, but I'm on track to finish a lot of songs.

Las imágenes de arriba son una forma de aplicar algunas modificaciones al sonido que estoy utilizando, lo comparto en hive porque depronto puede ser de ayuda para algunas personas, con esta configuración lo que hago es darle espacio a la mezcla, el sonido deja de sentirse encerrado en una caja, para darle mayor espacio, no sé como explicarlo en términos precisos, ya que no he estudiado sobre el tema, pero siguiendo tutoriales es lo que ha funcionado, aún queda mucho por mejorar y muchas canciones por hacer.

Quiero remitirme a la discografía de Joe Satriani, 18 discos a lo largo de su carrera, en promedio se puede decir que saca un disco cada 2 años, lo que tiene mucho sentido, un año se dedica a escribir y el siguiente año se dedica a promocionarlo y dar conciertos alrededor del mundo. Bueno por ahora, no creo que yo haga conciertos alrededor del mundo, pero estoy encaminado a terminar muchas canciones.
