What matters most on hive?

A couple of days ago, in the context of a liotes mission, we asked our community what is according to them the most important thing that somebody new should do on hive. The post so far has close to 90 comments (half of them being from myself) and we got some really interesting feed-back.

I was amazed to see that there is a big consensus about what matters most to be successful on Hive. About 80% of all the people who have commented on the post agreed on this.
