Hello, my lovely people of @dailyblog on Hive! I hope you all are doing great and have received a happy New Year 2024.

The city where I live, Antofagasta, is one of the most expensive cities in Chile and this phenomenon is due to the fact that it is a Mining Region.

According to a report by the Centro de Estudios en Economía y Negocios of the Universidad del Desarrollo, Antofagasta is the most expensive city to live in, so housing rents are very high compared to the capital, Santiago, or other regions of the country.

My husband and I were looking for a place to move more than a year ago, because the owner of the apartment where we lived had announced that he was going to sell it and also at that time he increased the rent. So from there, we began our journey in search of a place that offered what we were looking for, a space with a price according to our income and that had a built-in kitchen, because where I lived was an apartment that did not have the right conditions to continue with my baking work and as if that were not enough, it was in a pretty deteriorated state for the price we were paying monthly.

In this sense, the situation became heavier when in November of last year the owner of the apartment increased the monthly payment again. Therefore, with more determination and determination we kept looking until early December we saw an ad where they were renting a new apartment, with a price we could afford and also looked like what we wanted and what we liked the most was that it was in an area where we had a Mall and 3 supermarkets nearby. The only detail is that it was on the north side of the city and we were on the south side.

Almost end to end. Even so, we decided to go and see it.
When we went to see the apartment, I was in love, not only because of its price but also because it had a kitchen like the one I wanted and the building was a project that had just finished with pool service, a garbage chute on the same floor of the apartment, 3 barbecue areas, 2 multipurpose rooms and common expenses.

***Everything we didn't have in the other building and where we had to pay an extremely expensive monthly fee.

After we saw the new apartment, we reflected for almost the whole day the pros and cons and we realized that it had more pros than cons and without hesitating a second more, at night we wrote to the insurance broker and told her that we were interested in renting. After 3 days we did all the paperwork and moved in on December 20.

During the days of the move, it was crazy because we had to pack all the things we have, not to mention all the cleaning of the place and on top of that, I had to work on the orders for the Christmas cakes and cookies that I had been ordered for December 23rd and 24th. I thought I was not going to be able to fulfill the latter, but thank God I organized myself well and was able to make the delivery on time despite all the chaos of the move.

By the way, in the hustle and bustle, the watercolor painting I did with the Hive logo fell and broke the glass. That really hurt my soul, but it can be repaired. I hope to do it soon and when we recover from all the expenses involved in moving.

Living in this place, I feel that a dream has come true, although I confess that it was not easy, but we managed to accomplish everything we had proposed and now, I am writing to you totally relaxed from my new and beautiful home and in which I feel very happy to be, because here I feel much more comfortable.

Obviously, I am grateful to have lived in the other apartment, but it was time to move forward and continue improving our quality of life and keep working to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves, since we have a life project that is in process and that gives purpose and meaning to our lives.

_{"La Felicidad solo es real cuando es compartida"

¡Hola, mi linda gente de @dailyblog en Hive! Espero se encuentren muy bien y hayan recibido un dichoso Año Nuevo 2024.

La ciudad donde vivo, Antofagasta, es una de las ciudades más costosas de Chile y este fenómeno se debe a que es una región minera.

Según un informe del Centro de Estudios en Economía y Negocios de la Universidad del Desarrollo, Antofagasta es la ciudad más cara para vivir, por ende los alquiles de viviendas tienen precios muy elevados en relación a la capital que es Santiago u otras regiones del país.

Mi esposo y yo hace más de un año estábamos buscando un lugar para mudarnos, pues el propietario del apartamento donde vivíamos nos había anunciado que pensaba venderlo y además en ese momento nos aumentó el alquiler. Así que a partir de allí, comenzó nuestra travesía en busca de un sitio que ofreciera lo que andábamos buscando, un espacio con un precio acorde a nuestros ingresos y que tuviera una cocina empotrada, pues donde vivía era un apartamento que no contaba con las condiciones adecuadas para continuar con mi trabajo de repostería y como si fuera poco, se encontraba en un estado bastante deteriorado para el precio que estábamos pagando mensualmente.

En este sentido, la situación se hizo más pesada cuando en el mes de noviembre del año pasado el dueño del apartamento nos volvió a incrementar la mensualidad. Por lo tanto, con más determinación y empeño seguimos buscando hasta que principios de Diciembre vimos un anuncio donde estaban alquilando un apartamento nuevo, con un precio que podíamos pagar y además se parecía a lo que queríamos y lo que más nos gustó fue que estaba en una zona donde teníamos cerca un Mall y 3 supermercados. El único detalle es que estaba en el lado norte de la cuidad y nosotros estábamos en el lado sur. Casi de extremo a extremo. Aun así, decidimos ir a verlo.

Cuando fuimos a ver el apartamento, quedé enamorada, no solo por su precio sino porque tenía una cocina como la que yo quería y el edificio era un proyecto que tenía poco tiempo terminado con servicio de piscina, un bajante de basura en el mismo piso del apartamento, 3 quinchos, 2 salas multiusos y gastos comunes. Todo lo que no teníamos en el otro edificio y donde teníamos que pagar una mensualidad
extremadamente cara.

Después que vimos el nuevo apartamento, reflexionamos durante casi todo el día los pros y los contras y nos dimos cuenta que tenía más pros que contra y sin dudarlo un segundo más, en la noche le escribimos a la corredora de seguros y le dijimos que estábamos interesados en alquilar. Pasado 3 días hicimos todo el papeleo y nos mudamos el 20 de diciembre.
Durante los días de la mudanza, fue toda una locura ya que teníamos que empaquetar todas las cosas que tenemos, sin contar con toda la limpieza del lugar y además de eso, tenía que trabajar en los pedidos de las tortas y galletas de navidad que me habían encargado para el 23 y 24 de diciembre.

Creí que no iba a poder cumplir con esto último, pero gracias a Dios me organicé bien y pude hacer las entrega a tiempo a pesar de todo el caos de la mudanza.

Por cierto, en el trajín, el cuadro en acuarela que hice con el logo de Hive se me cayó y se le rompió el vidrio. Eso sí que me dolió en el alma, pero se puede mandar a reparar. Espero hacerlo pronto y cuando nos recuperemos de todos los gastos que implica una mudanza.

Al estar viviendo en este lugar, siento que un sueño se me ha hecho realidad, aunque les confieso que no fue nada fácil, pero logramos cumplir con todo lo que nos habíamos propuesto y ahora, les estoy escribiendo totalmente relajada desde mi nuevo y lindo hogar y en el cual me siento muy feliz de estar, pues aquí me siento mucho más cómoda.

Obviamente, estoy agradecida de haber vivido en el otro apartamento, pero ya era momento de avanzar y seguir mejorando nuestra calidad de vida y seguir trabajando para alcanzar las metas que nos hemos propuesto, pues tenemos un proyecto de vida que está en proceso y que le da un propósito y sentido a nuestras vidas.

Por otro lado, te invito a ver un video muy cortito para que aprecies mejor el apartamento donde vivía antes y donde vivo ahora.
