Ay si, Ay no, Mariquita me regaló

Ay si, Ay no, Mariquita me regaló

Hello beautiful people of Hive Open Mic

This week we return to share part of our roots, the traditions of a people make it special, one of my dreams is to travel and know those traditions that exist in every country and people of this beautiful planet.

I feel that this week will be an opportunity to travel virtually through our Open Mic Universe and get to know the music that determines each region, town or country of all of us who live here.

In this opportunity I share with you one of the first songs I learned as a child, it is part of the Margarita folklore of those who call FUN in Margarita Island and eastern part of my country Venezuela.

"La Burriquita" is the melody that accompanies a folkloric dance in which a person puts on a costume where he/she acts like he/she is riding a donkey, it is very colorful and fun.

As a preschool teacher I had the opportunity to ride this fun with my students and it was always a wonderful experience.

Today I bring them to you where I accompany myself playing the Venezuelan cuatro, the maracas and a small drum that I make with the box of the cuatro.

As in many occasions I asked my son @jkalthor to accompany me to make a second voice and thus give harmony to some parts of the song.

    I hope you like it.

    LA BURRIQUITA

    Folklore from eastern Venezuela

Burriquita is in Venezuelan folklore like the wife of the donkey.

    Here comes the Burriquita
here she comes tamed ( bis)

Don't be afraid of the donkey
    she's a tame donkey (bis)

Oh yeah, oh no, ladybug gave me a gift
a canary that sang the verses of the child God.(bis)

Don't throw grass on the donkey
Cause she won't be able to dance (bis)

Just throw some ladybugs on her
    And hold her right there.(bis)

Ay si, Ay no, Mariquita gave me a gift
A canary that sang the verses of the child God.(encore)

    This is the new burrita
    That comes from Pampatar (bis)

And she hadn't come here before
because she didn't have a muzzle (bis)

Oh yes, oh no, Ladybug gave me a gift
A canary that sang the verses of the child God.(bis)

    Written from my memory.

Let's keep on loving music, living it and sharing with others the wonderful world it offers us.

    A fraternal embrace

    With love

    Zully

THANK YOU FOR TAKING THE TIME TO LISTEN TO ME

    A HUG

    WITH LOVE
