Estar unidos a algo o a alguién implica esa conexión que nos mueve a ser más que nosotros mismos, la unión se manifiesta de muchas formas, podemos verla en personas que tienen las mismas ideas, los mismos gustos, en seres que se aman, o en grupos que luchan por lograr un objetivo. También cuando dos o más personas se juntan para realizar arte o música.

También hay un estado de unión con la naturaleza, eso que nos hace sentir uno con lo que nos rodea, y esto es lo que siento que es el mensaje de esta canción del gran Simón Díaz, cantautor de música venezolana y estandarte de la cultura y folklore de nuestro país.

"Sabana" es una canción que evoca esa unión entre el ser y todo ese ambiente donde ha vivido, y que le toca dejarlo por circunstancias de la vida, así me he sentido en varias ocaciones, cuando me tocó dejar La Gran Sabana a los 18 años para ir a la ciudad a estudiar, o cuando me tuve que venir de la Isla de Margarita otra vez a la ciudad. Yo me considero una mujer de campo, de naturaleza, las ciudades me abruman, me siento encerrada en ellas, no hay nada más hermoso levantarse en la mañana rodeada de pajaritos o viendo las montañas o disfrutar de un amanecer en la playa.

Así que cuando escucho esta canción o la canto me conecto con la nostalgia ya que alguna vez me tocó despedirme de esos lugares.

Gracias a @bertrayo por una vez más acceder a acompañarme en una canción con su virtuosismo en el cuatro, esta es otra forma de crear uniones a través de la música y el arte.

Being united to something or someone implies that connection that moves us to be more than ourselves, the union manifests itself in many ways, we can see it in people who have the same ideas, the same tastes, in beings who love each other, or in groups that struggle to achieve a goal. Also when two or more people come together to make art or music.

There is also a state of union with nature, that which makes us feel one with what surrounds us, and this is what I feel is the message of this song by the great Simón Díaz, singer-songwriter of Venezuelan music and standard bearer of the culture and folklore of our country.

"Sabana" is a song that evokes that union between the being and all that environment where he has lived, and that he has to leave it by circumstances of life, so I have felt on several occasions, when I had to leave La Gran Sabana at age 18 to go to the city to study, or when I had to come from Margarita Island back to the city. I consider myself a woman of the countryside, of nature, cities overwhelm me, I feel closed in them, there is nothing more beautiful than waking up in the morning surrounded by birds or watching the mountains or enjoying a sunrise on the beach.

So when I listen to this song or sing it I connect with nostalgia since it was once my turn to say goodbye to those places.
