Mengapa oh Mengapa (Original Song by @zeingrind and Band) || Hive Open Mic Week #102

Hello my brothers and sisters, meet us again, "Indonesia Bersatu", a punk rock band from Medan, Indonesia. It's great to be back at the weekly #openmic community.

The theme for this week is "Tocando Almas" very interesting to us. So, today we played an original song of ours called "Mengapa oh Mengapa" (Why oh Why). Which was released on our second album in 2009.

This song was made because we are confused by the reality that is happening in our country. Many say that this country is very rich, but many poor people are hungry. How can an old woman still have to work to be able to eat, a mother who becomes manual labour to meet the nutritional needs of their child? Why does the state not care about the fate of its people? That's what confused us so that this song was created.

The lyrics of this song in Indonesian are;

""Banyak saudaraku disana
Berjuang didalam hidupnya
Hanya untuk membeli susu anaknya
Tak pedulikan usia yang semakin renta

Bukalah mata kita
Masih ada kah hati yang peduli sesama
Cobalah kita rasakan

akan pahitnya hidup yang sebenarnya

Ini semua bisa terjadi

The translation of the lyrics in English is;

"Many of my brothers there
