He is a former military later and Afghanistan veteran.
David was a witness to serious misconduct by the Australian miltary in the Uruzgan area.
He became a whistleblower and tried to get the truth out, but was refused by all official authorities.
They wanted to keep it quiet. So David did the only thing he could do, he went to the press.
And the word got out. Then raids happened by the Australian government against the ABC HQ.
