Once again we are participating in the second cycle of presentations at the Hive Music Festival in its Week 7, first round. I want to congratulate the winners of the period that has just ended, the talented and charismatic singer @mirel0510 and a great guitar player such as @sunsethunter. If I have noticed something in this festival, it is the diversity of talents that have been presented. For me, it is exciting to be able to listen to them and enjoy their voices, their love for playing an instrument, and something much more valuable is the effort. Some are learning to play the guitar and that deserves a lot of applause. Do not give up, this Christmas it is worth giving the best of yourself to the public. Great rewards come from effort and perseverance.
I know that many of us are concerned about the events that are taking place in the world, while in some places Christmas lights and decorations shine bright, in others it is cold, hungry, and dark. Our beautiful planet is inhabited by imperfect beings, and we are amazed when bad things happen. However, part of the order that the Creator of the Universe has established is the opposition. It seems that it is unfair that bad things happen, but just as it is evil, there is also truth and justice. Today I bring you an interpretation with the trumpet of a Ballad that gives us a great lesson about love and solidarity. "He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother" is a song composed by Bobby Scott and Bob Russell, one of my favorite versions is by the British Rock Band The Hollies. In the middle of a storm, some children knocked on the doors of an Orphanage, then a Priest opened them and offered them shelter and food. He asked him, must it be very heavy? The boy replied: he is not heavy, he is my brother. I hope with all my heart that this Christmas we can carry the burdens of others, by being able to serve them and give of our time. In the Church where I attend there is a 25-day initiative called #LightTheWorld, where we do small acts of love and service to the family and the community. The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where who knows where
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there
For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another
… It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share?
And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
He's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother
