Tú Lo Decidiste - Ana Gabriel (Cover) [SPA/ENG]

En cuanto a géneros musicales que me gustan y que han influenciado la cultura de Venezuela está el Mariachi, la Música Tradicional Mexicana y la Ranchera. Siempre me han gustado las películas del siglo de oro del cine mexicano, y escuchar las voces de Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete, Antonio Aguilar, Javier Solís y Vicente Fernández. Uno de esos cantantes que siempre disfruto es de Ana Gabriel, La Diva de América. Hoy les traigo mi interpretación con la trompeta de «Tú Lo Decidiste». En casa teníamos algunos casetes de Ana Gabriel, Juan Gabriel y Rocío Dúrcal. Estos no podían faltar a la hora de limpiar, muchas de esas canciones tenían un carácter romántico, incluso de despecho. Aunque era un niño y muchas veces no comprendíamos el significado, la cantábamos con pasión.

I have always liked films from the golden age of Mexican cinema, and listening to the voices of Pedro Infante, Jorge Negrete, Antonio Aguilar, Javier Solís, and Vicente Fernández. One of those singers that I always enjoy is Ana Gabriel, La Diva de América. Today I bring you my interpretation of the trumpet of «Tú Lo Decidiste». At home, we had some cassettes of Ana Gabriel, Juan Gabriel, and Rocío Dúrcal. These could not be missing when it came to cleaning, many of those songs had a romantic character, even spiteful. Although I was a child and many times we did not understand the meaning, we sang it with passion.

Por mucho tiempo tuve prejuicios hacia los mariachis, ya que en algunas ocasiones vi presentaciones en vivo que eran poco profesionales. Algunos cantantes no eran afinados, y los trompetistas se equivocaban mucho. Con el tiempo descubrí que muchos intérpretes demostraban virtuosismo, calidad y un espectáculo sin igual, también me encontré con academias para mariachis, y pude ver que varios de estos artistas que escuchaba de niño tenían excelentes músicos. Incluso tuve un Maestro en el Conservatorio de música que tocaba en un Mariachi, y era un excelente trompetista. El sonido característico de la trompeta en el mariachi es con vibrato, es un estilo diferente a la música popular y a la música de orquesta sinfónica.

For a long time I was prejudiced against mariachis since on some occasions I saw live performances that were unprofessional. Some singers were not in tune, and the trumpeters made a lot of mistakes. Over time I discovered that many performers demonstrated unparalleled virtuosity, quality, and showmanship, I also came across academies for mariachis, and I was able to see that several of these artists that I listened to as a child had excellent musicians. I even had a Maestro at the Music Conservatory who played in a Mariachi, and he was an excellent trumpeter. The characteristic sound of the trumpet in the mariachi is vibrato, it is a different style from popular music and symphony orchestra music.
