Hay películas que van acompañadas de una banda sonora que impactan a una generación. Una de esas sagas de película que me gusto desde la primera vez que la vi es Rocky. Desde la primera que salió en 1976 hasta Creed II, que es la secuela de esta saga. Por ahí he visto que está próximamente por salir Creed III. Quiero resaltar que unas de mis canciones favoritas son Gonna Fly Now de Bill Conti, y «Eye of the Tiger» del grupo de rock estadounidense Survivor. Hoy quiero interpretarles esta última compuesta por Frankie Sullivan y Jim Peterik. Esta fue escrita para la película Rocky III y es de género hard rock. Cualquiera que escucha esta canción quiere salir a trotar, correr, subir escaleras y practicar un deporte. El tema se encuentra en la tonalidad de C Menor y nos habla sobre la voluntad de luchar y la pasión por la gloria.

Anyone who listens to this song wants to go jogging, running, climbing stairs, and playing a sport. The theme is in the key of C Minor and tells us about the will to fight and the passion for glory.

No hay mucha diferencia con el deporte, con la música también hay sangre, sudor y lágrimas. Estudiar música requiere esfuerzo y concentración. Recuerdo que era tan solo un niño de ocho años y no podía levantar la trompeta debido a su peso. Al principio no me salían los sonidos que esperaba. Tenía que realizar calentamiento por una hora, y luego con la paciencia del maestro ir entonando las notas de la escala diatónica. Era como comenzar gateando, luego caminando y con mucho estudio y practica metódica correr velozmente. Para aquellos que están comenzando a estudiar un instrumento y sientan que no pueden, mi consejo es no desmayen, sigan practicando, y si al final después de mucho esfuerzo no hay resultados, intenta otra fórmula diferente. Recuerdo a un amigo que comenzó a estudiar trompeta conmigo, y se le hacía difícil tocar el instrumento. Mi maestro le dijo: “No has pensado en otro instrumento”. Al pasar los meses comenzó a estudiar con un saxofón de la escuela, y luego se compró uno propio. Su evolución fue increíble, y hoy lo considero un saxofonista virtuoso. Siempre habrá un instrumento en el que puedas destacarte, así sea el triángulo o las panderetas. Todos los instrumentos son importantes. Una orquesta es diversidad.
