Hive Music Festival Semana Nº1 | Primera ronda | Cenizas - José Feliciano (Cover) [ENG/SPA]

Es grato para mí participar del Hive Music Festival en su primera semana. La primera vez que participe en un festival fue en la escuela primaria, y tengo recuerdos muy vagos de este. Creo que canté La Malagueña de Miguel Aceves Mejía. Yo creo que no lo recuerdo muy bien, porque no gane nada.😀 Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes en la primera ronda un Bolero titulado «Cenizas» de José Feliciano. Agradezco a @edwardstobia por la invitación y por esta excelente iniciativa para todos los artistas de la comunidad de #Music.

It is a pleasure for me to participate in the Hive Music Festival in its first week. The first time I participated in a festival was in elementary school, and I have very vague memories of it. I think I sang La Malagueña by Miguel Aceves Mejía. I think I don't remember it very well, because I didn't win anything.😁 Today I want to share with you in the first round a Bolero titled «Cenizas» by José Feliciano. I thank @edwardstobia for the invitation and this excellent initiative for all the artists in the #Music community.

La canción original fue compuesta por el músico y compositor Mexicano Manuel Wello Rivas. En esta oportunidad interpreto con la trompeta la versión de José Feliciano, pero con unos pocos cambios en la melodía. La letra tiene un carácter nostálgico, triste y de despecho. Yo creo que el refrán “Donde hubo fuego, cenizas quedan” es una buena descripción para esta canción. Es notable el orgullo y la dignidad ante un corazón lastimado. Nuestros antepasados como que vivían deprimidos, porque así es el Bolero, una mezcla de romance, y decepción.

The original song was composed by Mexican musician and composer Manuel Wello Rivas. On this occasion, he interpreted the José Feliciano version with the trumpet, but with a few changes in the melody. The lyrics have a nostalgic, sad, and spiteful character. I think the saying "Where there was fire, ashes remain" is a good description of this song. The pride and dignity in the face of a broken heart are remarkable. Our ancestors kind of lived depressed, because that's how Bolero is, a mixture of romance and disappointment.

Por varias semanas estaremos de fiesta compartiendo nuestro talento, disfrutando de las presentaciones e interactuando y como todo festival habrá una premiación. Como siempre le digo a mis estudiantes, el participar es ganancia, porque uno crece espiritualmente y en habilidades. For several weeks we will be partying sharing our talent, enjoying the presentations, and interacting, and like any festival, there will be an award ceremony.
