Recently, I shared some reflections on the social and spiritual dimension of musicians. Today I want to talk about the physical aspect, which is often underestimated. It has always been said that “A healthy body, a healthy mind.” When you take care of your body, this brings benefits in performance, well-being and comprehensive development. As a trumpeter it is important to maintain excellent physical condition, one must take care of one's health and must also cultivate the habit of exercising. Some activities that have helped me are running, climbing stairs, and swimming. This has helped me improve my technical control and helps me know myself and improve my body expression. Another aspect is that it helps you reduce the risk of injuries, fills you with energy and resistance, which has a positive impact on your health. You also become more disciplined, have better stress control and become more creative. This also applies to singers.

Recientemente, compartía algunas reflexiones sobre la dimensión social y espiritual de los músicos. Hoy quiero hablar del aspecto físico, el cual muchas veces es subestimado. Siempre se ha dicho que “Cuerpo Sano, en mente sana”. Cuando uno cuida su cuerpo, esto trae beneficios en el desempeño, bienestar y desarrollo integral. Como trompetista es importante mantener un excelente estado físico, uno debe cuidar de su salud y además debe cultivar el hábito de hacer ejercicios. Algunas actividades que me han ayudado son correr, subir escaleras y nadar. Eso me ha ayudado a mejorar mi control técnico y me ayuda a conocerme a mí mismo y mejorar mi expresión corporal. Otro aspecto es que te ayuda a reducir el riesgo de lesiones, te llena de energía y de resistencia, lo cual incide positivamente en la salud. También te vuelves más disciplinado, un mejor control del estrés y te conviertes en alguien más creativo. Esto también aplica para los cantantes.
