El talento es una habilidad inherente en el ser humano, todos tenemos un talento que podemos desarrollar. He visto en muchas personas talento innato, pareciese que surge de la nada. Entonces uno empieza a conectarlo con la genética, y busca un antepasado que haya tenido esa habilidad. El talento es un músculo que uno debe desarrollar, si no lo trabajamos se puede atrofiar, e incluso no evoluciona. Yo pienso que el talento cultivado tiene mayor valor que el innato, y más porque es el fruto del esfuerzo y de la constancia en lograr las metas propuestas. También el talento debe ir acompañado de virtudes, se puede ser la persona más virtuosa en cuanto a habilidades, pero ser buena persona suma más, y no resta talento. Mi abuelo siempre decía que la oportunidad llega tres veces en la vida. No sé si esté limitado a tres, pero tiene gran sabiduría. El Cultivar nuestros talentos, nos ayuda para cuando llegue la oportunidad. Hay que hacer un esfuerzo para no dejar pasar esas oportunidades y aprovecharlas al máximo.

Talent is an inherent ability in the human being, we all have a talent that we can develop. I have seen in many people innate talent, it seems that it comes out of nowhere. So you start to connect it with genetics and look for an ancestor who had that ability. Talent is a muscle that one must develop, if we don't work on it it can atrophy, and it doesn't even evolve. I think that cultivated talent has greater value than innate talent, and more so because it is the fruit of effort and perseverance in achieving the proposed goals. Also, talent must be accompanied by virtues, you can be the most virtuous person in terms of skills, but being a good person adds more, and does not subtract talent. My grandfather always said that opportunity comes three times in life. I don't know if he is limited to three, but he has great wisdom. Cultivating our talents helps us when the opportunity comes. You have to make an effort not to miss out on these opportunities and make the most of them.

Uno de los programas que me encanta ver son los festivales y concursos para captar talento. Siempre estoy atento a las diferentes temporadas de concursos. Me encantan programas como American Got talent, The X Factor, y The Voice. De niño me encantaba ver “¿Cuánto vale el Show?” en RCTV, también disfrute en el mismo canal de Fama y Aplausos. Uno de los festivales que siempre disfrutaba era el de la OTI o Gran Premio de la Canción Iberoamericana. En este último pude ver a grandes artistas surgir y lograr la fama. Recuerdo a varios artistas venezolanos que participarán, entre los que puedo destacar a la Primerísima Mirla Castellanos y a Luis Silva. Una de las participaciones significativas fue El Triste de Roberto Cantoral interpretado por José José. Aunque no había nacido para esa época, tuve la oportunidad de ver ese concierto posteriormente, me llamó la atención que no fuera el ganador del concurso. Hoy les traigo mi interpretación con la trompeta de este tema.

I love shows like American Got Talent, The X Factor, and The Voice. As a child, I loved to watch "How much is the Show worth?" on RCTV and also enjoy Fame and Applause on the same channel. One of the festivals that he always enjoyed was the OTI or Ibero-American Song Grand Prix. In the latter, I was able to see great artists emerge and achieve fame. I remember several Venezuelan artists who will participate, among which I can highlight the First Mirla Castellanos and Luis Silva. One of the significant participations was El Triste by Roberto Cantoral performed by José José. Although I was not born at that time, I had the opportunity to see that concert later, it caught my attention that I was not the winner of the contest.
