Hello to all the great artists of the hive open mic, it's yet another week to connect with artists all over the world with the prejudice.
It was quite difficult for me at first but then I recalled an old movie I watched titled "Amazing Grace"
Yes the hymn we all know
The movie was based on the slave trade story of Nigerians by the British. When some of the slaves finally gained freedom in the middle of the sea while travelling back, they sang this song in honor of their redemption. The hymn was written by John Newton and here's the lyrics.
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
Was blind but now I see
Was Grace that taught my heart to fear
And Grace, my fears relieved
How precious did that Grace appear
The hour I first believed
Through many dangers, toils and snares
We have already come
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far
And Grace will lead us home
Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found
Was blind but now I see
Was blind, but now I see
