Hello brothers of the great family of #pukumundo a pukuabrazo for all, you will not believe it, but this time I came with something different to my presentations, believe it or not first time I'm presenting myself as a flutist (lol).
Below I'll leave you a review of the song, its history, its creators, who have played it and of course its lyrics. The song is called VENEZUELA
I'll give you some pictures of our natural resources.
Venezuela is a popular Venezuelan song, with lyrics and music by the Spaniards Pablo Herrero Ibarz and José Luis Armenteros Sánchez, founding members of the musical group Los Relámpagos and composers of songs for renowned Hispanic artists, considered classics. The popularity and the feeling it evokes in Venezuelans is such that it is considered the fourth anthem of Venezuela, the first being the National Anthem (Gloria al Bravo Pueblo); the second, "Alma llanera" and the third "Conticinio, by the Venezuelan, Laudelino Mejías"...
History
It was originally written to be interpreted by José Luis Rodríguez in the album "Atrévete" (Venezuela, 1980) /Me vas a echar de menos (Spain, 1981), but it was not included. Then, it was made known for the first time by Venezuelan singer Balbino.
Performers
It has been covered by several artists. Some of them are Mirla Castellanos, Bertín Osborne, Simón Díaz, Tambor Urbano, María Teresa Chacín, Luis Silva and Samo.
Lyrics
It is composed of eight stanzas. The music is repeated in two parts, from stanza 1 to 4, and from stanza 5 to 8.
The line "soy como el viento en la mies" (I am like the wind in the harvest) is a curious phrase that confuses the singer to say: "soy como el viento en la piel" (I am like the wind in the skin). The correct phrase is the first one in this paragraph. Mies is the name given to the grain when it is ripe and ready to be harvested. In general, harvest is used to refer to a crop and is widely used in biblical texts: "When you go into your neighbor's harvest, you may cut the ears of grain with your hand, but you shall not apply a sickle to your neighbor's harvest. (Dt 23:25 RV-60).
According to the author, the volcano in the phrase "I am desert, jungle, snow and volcano" was the perfect word to evoke the heat as opposed to the snow, although in certain pages they explain that it refers to the active submarine volcano Kick-'Em-Jenny that supposedly is located 218 km from the Venezuelan coast, 130 m deep and with a height of 1 300 m. However, this volcano belongs to the island of Grenada (although it is close to Margarita Island).
There is also the Volcán del humo or fumarola de Sanare, in Yacambú National Park, near the town of Sanare in the mountains of Cubiro and San Miguel, Latitude: N 9°45'36", Longitude: W 69°35'13.99".
There is also a myth that the authors composed the song without having visited and set foot on Venezuelan soil and that they only knew the country through photographs, testimonies, bibliographic references and other sources. But according to an interview, it was exclaimed:
I can clarify everything you want about the song Venezuela since I composed it and it is not true that we have not known that wonderful country. The song was made for Balbino and for the TH label (I don't know if it still exists). We were in Caracas before and during the recording living in Las Mercedes. On weekends we would go to the beach in Higuerote to rest. We came back several times, one of them to produce the Pavo Real album. We visited Maracaibo, Canaima, the saban
