Hemos tenido un gran combate estelar, me atrevo a decir que ha sido la mejor pelea de las 2 anteriores que habían tenido ambos guerreros, sellaron una trilogía al mejor ritmo posible, fue sumamente entretenida y en algunos lapsos de la pelea muy competitiva. Kamaru Usman llegaba como favorito, aunque Leon Edwards era el campeón de la división, pero muy pocos fanáticos y analistas le dan el crédito que se merece Leon Edwards, lo subestiman en gran cantidad, incluso yo caí en el mismo error, pensando que Kamaru Usman iba a terminar a Leon Edwards de manera sencilla y tuvimos un desenlace totalmente diferente.

Leon Edwards fue con un plan de combate excelente, aterrizo en Londres con una mentalidad ganadora, sabia perfectamente lo que iba a tener que hacer para conseguir el triunfo y lo ejecuto de manera magistral. Acaba de vencer a Kamaru Usman por segunda vez, nadie hubiera imaginado esto en el pasado, pero Leon Edwards ha conseguido su primera defensa ante un rival histórico, Kamaru Usman, tranquilamente es top 3 en la historia del peso welter y Leon Edwards ha conseguido una victoria sólida frente a la pesadilla de Nigeria.

Desde el comienzo hasta el final del combate, Leon Edwards conecto muchas patadas, castigo en las rodillas de Kamaru, pego en los costados de ambas piernas, lastimo la zona del hígado frecuentemente y también llego a pegar una patada arriba en la cabeza de Kamaru. Un gran trabajo con las piernas realizo Edwards, quien además pego una buena rodilla que dejo muy tocado a Kamaru y con su striking pudo mantenerlo a distancia durante toda la pelea.

Kamaru nunca se encontró dominante, se notó que su nivel de pelea ha decaído, para todo deportista el tiempo siempre será su enemigo y al parecer Kamaru Usman está en una etapa donde la edad no es su mejor aliado. Mi confirmación es el último asalto, aquí vimos a Kamaru Usman respirando fuertemente por la boca, estaba agotado, no daba para más su cardio y eso jamás se había visto en la carrera de este excelente luchador. Algunos ven el resultado polémico, piensan que hubo empate, porque a Leon Edwards le quitaron un punto dentro de la pelea, pero no creo que haya sido ese el resultado, realmente perdió bien y no hay nada que buscar en la buena victoria de Leon Edwards.
