Teníamos un combate sumamente interesante, la busca del número 1 del ranking global y la carrera del doble campeón. ¿Quién conquistaría? Por ende, se esperaba que el hombre grande, defendiera el título, sin tener mucho problema, dominando fácilmente con glapper y sometiendo al retador de las 145 libras. Pocas personas colocaban una oportunidad en Alexander Volkanovski, peleador que sigue siendo subestimado y que al final demostró ser un superguerrero.

Islam Makhachev, había lucido imponente ante todos sus rivales, no había adversario que lo complicara, una vez te llevaba al suelo, terminaba consiguiendo la victoria, sea por sumisión o mediante un TKO. Bueno, este servidor no lo veía ganando fácilmente, mi predicción tomaba una victoria en el cuarto round y tuvimos una pelea que termino llegando hacia las tarjetas finales. Y luego de un combate cerrado, Islam Makhachev conseguía retener el título y ganar de manera unánime.

Islam Makhachev, had looked imposing against all his opponents, there was no opponent that complicated him, once he took you to the ground, he ended up getting the victory, either by submission or by TKO. Well, I didn't see him winning easily, my prediction was a fourth round victory and we had a fight that ended up going to the final scorecards. And after a close fight, Islam Makhachev managed to retain the title and win unanimously.

Alexander Volkanovski, perdió la pelea, pero, fue el gran ganador de la noche, se fue con una gran ovación en casa y con enormes cantidades de comentarios positivos. Ha hecho una gran performance, incluso muchos lo vieron ganar, me incluyo que tuve el mismo pensamiento, aunque, luego me volví a ver la pelea y me parece que si gana Islam Makhachev. Fue cerrado, no hay robo, simplemente hay que ver el 2do round, hay está la clave, la diferencia y creo que Islam consigue llevarse ese asalto.

Fue una gran pelea, tenía expectativas muy altas, me sumergí en un gran hype, y la verdad no defraudo. Islam Makhachev, realmente no es invencible, tiene deficiencias, Volkanovski lo llevo hacia un pasaje oscuro, casi lo finaliza en el 5to asalto, estuvimos a nada de ver historia en la UFC. Como yo lo vi: 1-2-4 asalto para Islam Makhachev, 3-5 para Alexander Volkanovski, siendo el 2do muy cerrado, pudo ser para cualquiera, aunque para mí, Islam conecta buenos golpes y cierra bien el round. Grande Islam Makhachev, respeto para Alexander Volkanovski, muy buen combate nos dieron.

Alexander Volkanovski, lost the fight, but, he was the big winner of the night, he left with a standing ovation at home and with huge amounts of positive comments. He has made a great performance, even many saw him win, I include myself that I had the same thought, although, then I re-watched the fight and it seems to me that if Islam Makhachev wins. It was close, there is no robbery, you just have to see the 2nd round, there is the key, the difference and I think Islam gets to take that round.

It was a great fight, I had very high expectations, I was immersed in a great hype, and the truth did not disappoint. Islam Makhachev, really is not invincible, he has deficiencies, Volkanovski took him to a dark passage, he almost finished him in the 5th round, we were nothing to see history in the UFC. As I saw it: 1-2-4 round for Islam Makhachev, 3-5 for Alexander Volkanovski, being the 2nd very close, it could have been for anyone, although for me, Islam connects good punches and closes the round well.
